I made the mistake of using this on my cooktop ...
I made the mistake of using this on my cooktop (which it says it’s safe for) only to wipe it away and see that it took off all of the dirt and grime, but also the logo and all of the numbers around my dials.Don’t make the same mistake I did.

Saved my All-Clad Pot
The first time I cooked rice on an electric range was a disaster. The water boiled out and the rice burned inside the pot leaving behind a charred residue. I tried desperately to clean the pot, but nothing—not even Brillo worked.I used this product and as you can see from my before and after the pot was saved. Here is the secret. For stubborn stains like burned rice add a little hot water to the powder until it forms a thick paste. Leave it sit for 30 minutes and then scrub. I had to repeat the process three times before my pot was cleaned, but well worth it because the All-clads are quite expensive.I have used it for minor polishing and lighter stains with quick results.

Five stars does not do this miracle cleanser justice!
Having added an increasing amount of stainless steel appliances and cookware to our kitchen, we've come to realize that having a great stainless steel cleaner on hand is an absolute must. That said, over the past year, we'd gone through just about every environmentally responsible stainless cleaner that we could find locally and not one of them successfully removed the built up stains or discoloration that so often comes with frequent use. Finally, we decided to buy Bar Keepers Friend Cookware Cleanser and Polish on Amazon, after discovering that it is bleach-free, biodegradable and non-abrasive. I had heard good things about it, but having not used it before, and having had such bad luck with finding a decent cleanser locally, I had my reservations about how well it would work. Those reservations are now gone!We decided to try this cleanser out on the worst water-stained, discolored stainless steel in the house - our kitchen sink. The images I have attached were taken less than one week after using another stainless steel cleaner. The two images of the full sink show the left side already cleaned with this product, with a before and after of the right side (the side with the garbage disposal). Pay particular attention to the hard water build-up from our dish drainer in the center column, between the two sinks! The other two images show before and after close-ups of the right side of the sink. The difference is seriously jaw dropping. While it did take some elbow work (go hubby!), this cleanser did a brilliant job removing countless stains that no other cleanser we've tried could tackle. For seriously toughs stains, you just create a paste with this powder and water, then let it sit for a couple of minutes before scrubbing and rinsing. Doing this removed heavily set-in hard-water stains, soap stains, rust (center of the garbage disposal opening) and discoloration. Even those hard water stains on the center column of the sink disappeared! My husband also noted that the cleanser was not remotely abrasive. We're both quite confident that we can use it on our appliances, mixing bowls and cookware without worrying that it will scratch or mar their finish.I cannot recommend this cleaner enough. It does everything a great stainless steel cleaner is supposed to do and nothing that it shouldn't. I bought a two pack this time around, but next time, I'll go with the four cans. You seriously cannot have enough of this stuff on hand if your kitchen is full of stainless steel like ours is! It's brilliant.

Compared to All Clad's Cleaner
I've used Bar Keeper's Friend for years on my All Clad cookware, per All Clad's own recommendation 19 years ago. I received the All Clad Cookware Cleaner today, and after dinner, used the All Clad Cleaner on two pans and the Bar Keeper's Friend on the other two. What I found was absolutely no difference in performance whatsoever. In fact, both products smell identical as well . . .leaving me with the distinct impression, perhaps Bar Keeper's Friend makes this product for All Clad?I will say, All Clad's plastic container, with it's close top lid is definitely a an improvement over the cardboard container with open top on Bar Keeper's Friend. And as luck would have it, the AC container includes a screw top lid.So . . .while I recommend buying the All Clad Cleaner for the container . . .I'll be refilling that container with this version of Bar Keeper's Friend. It's made specifically for stainless steel pans and I use it on my mirror finish All Clad Copper Core and it leaves my cookware as shiny as the day it was purchased. I highly recommend this product.

Great for Stainless Steel Pans
Used it to clean several stainless steel pans. Cleaned all the typical yellow markings off the bottom easily and well. It will also remove black spots, but it takes a little elbow grease. I find the best way to use the product is to wet the pan with warm water, sprinkle a generous amount on and spread it like a paste. Then let it sit for a couple of minutes, then use a sponge to wipe away most stains, use the scrubby part for the black stains though. Great product, will buy again.

BKF + ScotchBrite == Brilliant Stainless Pans!
Recommended when I bought my AllClad stainless cookware set. This stuff plus a ScotchBrite (the green nylon stuff, never use steel wool on your cookware) gets off all kinds of nastiness and brings the shine back to your pans. I have been keeping our new set looking great while also slowly bringing an older very blackened and burnt up old stainless set back to life. Not all the old gunk came off, but I am amazed at how much better they look. Note: my wife used steel wool on the old set, and it made scratches that made them stick worse, but never got them as clean and shiny as BKF and ScotchBrite and sponge.

Really Does Get My Stainless Steel Looking New Again Without A Lot Of Effort
This really works on stainless steel cookware. I had a brand new frying pan a visiting friend managed to thrash in just a few days. I have no idea how she managed to make it look so bad, except I assume it was left on high heat with nothing in it (but I don’t know for sure). I tried making a baking soda paste but it barely helped at all. I bought Bar Keepers Friend and a Dobie pad and gave the pan one good scrub and made some progress but it still needed work. So I made a paste out of Bar Keepers Friend and applied it to the most stubborn areas, let it sit a minute and scrubbed the pan just a minute or two with the Dobie pad, and I couldn’t believe it but everything came off the pan and it looked new again. This stuff is fantastic. 5 stars.

My copper pots and pans sparkle again.
There was nothing that could clean scorched spots on my copper pots. I tried many advertised products before . Bar Keepers is the best cleaning solution and did the job. My pots sparkle again.

Good but make sure you don't pay too much
Product is great, but I paid way too much for this, you should be able to get one 12 ounze can for 5 dollars at the time of writing this review.
