Q: The plastic part of the old antenna didn't come out when I removed the antenna mast. I bought the conversion kit. Will it still work?

It will not be an issue with the cable still in the motor, our conversion kit will still install.

Q: Can I use the stainless steel mast part without the plastic teeth?

If the cable is cut off the metal segments will collapse from gravity.

Q: I have a 2002 toyota 4 runner with broken antenna and radio does not work but motor hummes will this work as what ties this to the radio?

If your antenna motor is still humming in means it's working, the replacement antenna is easy to install with the instructions provided. Unfortunately, I got what I paid for, it only lasted two weeks in my '99 4Runner before the top mast came loose. I would go with one of the more expensive replacement mast.
