Spigen Rugged Armor Designed for Samsung Galaxy S6 Case (2015) - Black

My favorite case on the market.

First impressions: continues to keep phone slim and still "somewhat" protect it if you drop it. Being real, sure it will probably protect from a short fall in the grass or something similar, but its no otterbox. It may tout having Military Grade drop testing, but that just means the case will be durable and not fall apart. If the thing can twist it won't totally keep the phone from receiving a blow.Been using Spigen Ultra Hybrid which also touts having Military Grade drop testing, in which I can see that one doing some real protecting as it is TPU bumper attached to a Polycarbonate clear back. Corners may still receive a blow, but dropping it flat on the back should protect just fine.The Ultra Rugged is a little more "slick" on the back than what I thought it would be. This is coming from the Spigen Ultra Hybrid (Gunmetal color). Love the case, but when oils build up on the clear polycarbonate back, it gets slick as well, and feels dirty. The sides being TPU, feel more like rubber now that it has worn in over the past 8 months. The buttons are hidden in the case, so was one reason I wanted to go with something with protected, but extended buttons.Speaking of which the Ultra Rugged buttons are great, nice feedback and stiff, so you won't be accidentally be pushing them; at least not until the case is good and used anyway. I use my home button more than anything, so they should stay stiff on my phone.Like the design, definitely techno-rugged, cut-outs are all aligned nicely. Maybe would have liked to see the Carbon Fiber inlay to extend though the center of the phone, that way it creates a nice edge for even better grip.Nothing noticeable by way of Wireless Charging drop or cellular/wifi connection.Having the Black Sapphire S6 screen up, the case looks like a black "glow" effect around the edges similiar to what you would put on lettering or around a picture, kind of trippy. Screen on not noticeable.Case does not extend too far next to screen, one thing I always hate is when trying to move an App to a different screen and the case needs to be pushed out to activate the move to the next screen.Wasn't intending to compare the case to the old, but guess that's about the truth of what I was after in a case, bench-marking off the Ultra Hybrid.Was also looking at the Spigen Capsule Solid, like the thought of the kickstand, but the buttons are flush and it looks like a pill, and maybe too smooth.

This case is a great solution if you want style and protection all in one! I purchased both the Spigen's Polycarbonate Neo Hybrid Bumper Style Case (SGP11320) & this Aluminum Edge Neo Hybrid Case (SGP11324) and after trying them both on my GS6 I was quickly sold on this more expensive option. First, the GS6 is a stunning phone and I was nervous about covering it up but I need protection from life happening! One of the features I loved about the phone was the aluminum edge versus the old plastic edge. It feels great in your hands and add a ton of class to the look of the phone. This version of Spigen's Neo Hybrid series gives you that same aluminum feel in your hand. Comparatively speaking, the "Bumper Style Neo Hybrid" which is the less expensive version of this case offers a plastic edge with metal buttons. It reminded me a lot of all the plastic on my GS5! I have purchased Spigen cases for my last 2 phones and both times selected the Heavy Duty Tough Armor case previously and was ready for something new. While this case is substantially slimmer than the heavy duty case I feel like it still provides ample protection for my GS6.If you want the feel of a GS5... pick the neo hybrid with the plastic edge and metallized buttons. (SGP11320)If you drop your phone chronically... pick the heavy duty Spigen case with the kickstand. (SGP11339)If you want your GS6 to look and feel like a GS6 with the protection of a great case... pick this case! Ordered this case ages ago now, just going back through things i've brought and catching up on reviews. (I always make sure to do this as I rely heavily on reviews before making any purchases.)Anyway, this case was fantastic. Simple as that. I was hesitant on buying it at first as I'd never spent that much on a case before. However, I went for it as I'd just brought a phone outright for the first time and I wanted a premium case to make sure it was well protected, as well as still looking half decent. I loved the look of this case from the moment I saw the pictures. I'm a Liverpool fan so red is my favourite colour, and I loved the contrast with the black rubber of the inner part of the case.I'm pleased to say, the case looked even better when it arrived! I put it on my phone as soon as it was delivered because I just couldn't wait to see how it looked and felt with the new case on. The fit was perfect! Almost too perfect as it can be quite stiff when getting the metal outer frame over the rubber protective inner case. But when you get it all on, it's worth is as everything feels solid and tight in your hand, just as you'd expect from a premium product. Excellent and accurate build quality!So it looked good and felt good, but how did it perform when it really came down to it? Very well! I've never been one to be too clumsy with phones, but whether it was because of the amount of time I spent intoxicated as it was my first year of uni, or just because I felt so safe with this case on my phone, I dropped it all the bloody time!After around 7 months of pretty constant torture, I eventually decided to retire the case as the metal frame had simply taken too many big knocks and had started to lose its shape. Make no mistake, this case would have continued to protect my phone had I wanted to keep it on, but I decided it was time to replace it. So I brought another one! Honestly, if you have a samsung galaxy s6, and you are someone who likes to appreciates everything that comes with paying for, receiving and using a premium product, and you like the aesthetics of this case, then buy it! You'll thank me, you'll thank yourself, and your phone will thank you too! There are even plenty of colour ways to choose from!

+Really smart looking case.+Good texture for such a slippy phone+Fits really well+Not too bulky, but still has fairly good protection-Speaker is covered up slightlyI would recommend this case for any Samsung S6 owner. The price at under £10 (£6.99 when i ordered) is justifiable for the quality of the product. However, I wouldn't recommend spending any more than that for a case like this.

Firstly the design of the case is quite nice, the aluminium looks nice and the buttons are well placed and have a nice feel to them, especially with the volume buttons, the power button isn't quite as clicky although that's down to the phone's design and not the case. The buttons definitely are easier to use with the case than without. The TPU part looks quite good although I feel a plain design may have been a little nicer looking.However with the TPU case the charge port and the the jack aren't properly cut out and as such a lot of charging cables or headphone cables don't fit. My Shure 535's won't fit at all however a little trimming of the port and it's a bit better, though won't fit a lot of headphones that have larger jack connectors.A further flaw and perhaps the worst is that the aluminium blocks phone signal, this can be seen by the fact the antennae top and bottom (where the aluminium bezel seems to break on the phone) are covered and this does a decent hit on signal strength, I lost anywhere from 20 - 30% signal when using the case which is fine around larger towns and cities, but a massive hindrance in other places. GPS is unusable while this case is on so if you use anything requiring this then this is not the case for you.

自分はよくケータイを落とすので、強度のあるケースを探してこの商品を買いました。商品の発送と梱包は、迅速かつ丁寧でした。商品自体についてですが、自分は赤色を購入しました。　ハッキリ言ってめちゃめちゃかっこいいです。見た目は文句なしです。ですが、ボタン部分の作り？というか付け方がテープのようなもので、すぐにとれてしまうのではないかと不安になりました。次に私自身一番重要な強度についてですが、本日盛大に落っことしました(笑)その結果。ケースの回りのアルミ？部分がガッツリへこみました。落としたときの衝撃を和らげるためにあえてへこませる作りになっているものだと思いますが、気に入っていたため自分もへこみました…。しかし、アルミ部分とスマホ本体の間のラバー部分のおかげで本体にまったく傷はつきませんでした。　強度については問題ないかな、と思います。　ボタン部分の作りの簡単さと、アルミ部分が思ったより簡単にへこむので、評価は星3つにしました。へこんだアルミ部分は１度取り外して、形を戻しました。少しキズが残りますが、使えなくなるまで使おうと思います。長文失礼いたしました。

This is by far the greatest phone case that I have had for any of my phones, before I had this case I had one of those 2 part cases what made the phone feel bulky but I never minded with that case because it felt secure but after that broke after 9 months it was time for a new one so I ended up purchasing a spigen caseThe way the case looks is black and slim, it also has some carbon fibre around the camera area and the bottom of the case, the case is designed extremely well for the hand as the material is smooth and gives a nice tactice feedback to hold but also provides you with plenty of grip and you feel comfortable with it in your hand and you have a satisfied feeling that your phone is going to be safe if you drop it.The part of the case what wraps around the top of your phone is also a couple of mm's thick so if you were to drop your phone face down it wont be a bare screen contacting the floorAlso alot of people wonder how much of a tactile response the dedicated keys on the phone give out with a case on and this one feels like you havent got a case on when you press it, the buttons are still easy to distinguish from the actual case and is easily press and also works every time unlike other cases that feel like you are pressing the button but nothing actually happensI have 2 friends with galaxy S6 phones and they have both asked me for the link to this case after tying mine so I think im not the only one who will like this case as much as meI recommend anyone this case asl ong as they are not the type of person to throw it about.
