The new deadbolt works perfectly. It compliments the other locks.

This appears to be a durable inexpensive lock. We have a condo whereby the office maintains keys to get into our unit. We understand in a condo complex the office maintains keys to all the units but we are concerned because you just never know who might take advantage of the office set of keys and enter our unit without authorization. My partner wanted a security lock whereby no one could enter the unit while we’re sleeping. This lock was the perfect answer. It’s inexpensive and it’s a decent quality deadbolt. And since there’s no outside tumbler the door can only be locked/unlocked from the inside. Piece of mind for short money.

My old dead bolt broke and I wanted a cheap replacement that could be delivered quickly. It fit, it works and was easy to install. It, however, just like my old deadbolt, has plastic parts inside and will likely only last a few years as well. For now, it works and it was cheap.

Quality product, looks and works well

I have an old door that features a key on both sides to open the deadbolt, so I wanted to get a thumb turn deadbolt on the inside to make it safer to exit (in case on emergency etc). This product however, does not have screws long enough to reach the other side of the door, therefore, I had to return.

Item was as described and arrived on time.

I really like this product, though I wish it was a little heavier, it's lighter than the other kwikset deadbolt that I purchased. The only problem I ran into with this single-sided dead bolt was that the plastic piece which allows the screws to hold it in place was too long for the existing hole that I had. I had to drill an additional hole for this item - the problem wasn't drilling the hole it's the concern I have regarding this product breaking like it did last time. The reason I needed a new one was the old thumb turn broke and just spun in place instead of unlocking the door. We were able to open the lock and slide it out from inside the house. Now that I've drilled it securely in place, if this issue were to ever happen again, I'd have no way of sliding it out. For those in a similar situation, be aware that if this lock were to break while it's locked, you're going to have to cause considerable damage to the inside of your door to get it back out.

I wanted a dead bolt lock for french door. If the key enter was visible on the outside, the glass would be broken to unlock it. This solves that problem. However the latch did not come with an extra plate and long screws to reach the stud. I think that this is because the door itself would break before the door frame would. It was easy to install with the right tools,

The description fails to mention you need to purchase a separate backing with a key. Bought a fill in cover plate at my hardware store and threw this out. Thankfully it was only $3.There should be a warning it cannot be installed on its own.
