Direct and easy to implement
I was initially confused by the title of this book but I got the audio version and I love listening to it. And who doesn't want to change their life and world from their couch? Laura Day pours out tons of easy and natural to apply information. She also regularly releases tons of you tube videos and IG live tutorials for free for anyone who is interested in her work. So if there may be an individual who reads this and hears of a technique that they may not familiar with, there is always a resource out there in which she will expand on it. I feel that this book stands alone in being very clear as to how to approach these tools but I also enjoy all of the supplemental information. Let the healing begin!!!

Super fun book
I had so much fun with this book. And, your mind will be just as engaged as if you were reading the day's headlines or studying stock trends. All of Laura's books are practical, logical and designed to complement - not replace - the way we interact with the world. Highly, highly recommend.

It worked for me
I have always been very intuitive, and I started reading Day's book last Christmas. I came to this book after reading two others books by her. This book is very well structured, written in a very easy to understand and approachable language, and gives the reader many exercises, items of advice and information to develop all of our intuitive channels, from telepathy to healing and everything in between. This book is a good complement to Practical Intuition in Love, as the chapter Body Heat Telepathy is mostly devoted to love matters.I love this book because is practical, it does not oppose logic and intuition, and it does not have the religious bias than most books on psychic and intuitive development have.I love all the practical exercises Day proposes, and the way she explains how things work, how to analyse the "data" you get intuitively, and how to further your intuition. I find this book clearer than his classic Practical intuition, and more accurate regarding the results I have experienced, especially in areas that I paid little attention or interested me little like remote viewing, with an accuracy that I found to be wow.You might not rule the world from your couch after reading this book, but my experience has been so positive that I highly recommend the book to anybody who has a high level of intuition or simply believes that intuition can be increased. My only wish is that the book had more practical exercises, especially those you don't know what is the question you are intuiting about. To be honest, I would love Day to write just a book on this sort of practical exercises - they are fun and they are wow.

Easy to follow and practice
I reread Ms Day's classic, "Practical Intuition," every year. It's loaded with useful information and guidance and I learn more each time I go through it. "How to Rule the World..." did not disappoint in that regard, although its title is a little confusing for me. That said, the exercises are helpful and I found the exercises on "being" the business, person, or place especially fun and insightful.

My Go To Book for Rediscovering a Natural Born Ability
I love How to Rule the World from Your Couch. My only problem with this book is that I can't keep a copy for myself as I am constantly giving copies away or buying copies for others. I find myself gifting How to Rule the World to people who are stuck in situations where they need real world practical solutions. I also give the book to people who are highly skeptical of intuition and/or psychic abilities as this book makes sense of psychic phenomena in down to earth language that anyone can understand. I have always believed in psychic abilities, however, was a skeptic of most psychics before reading this book. I understood that I sometimes had psychic flashes of insight, but never actually understood how to approach developing those abilities in a disciplined, systemic way. I have known many psychics through different spiritual scenes, but found that many of them would flaunt their psychic abilities and show them off rather than use them to improve the real life situations that presented themselves. On the other hand I have known many people who profess no psychic ability, but who are shockingly intuitive. I have noticed that people in this later category also tend to be successful in their relationships, in finances, and in their careers. Laura's book teaches us that all of us use intuition all of the time, but that most people don't use it in a way that's practical or that serves to better our lives. Laura shows readers of the book how to identify different mental processes we engage in throughout the day, everyday as intuitive and to direct those processes in such a way that helps us to navigate the world in a way that saves us vast amounts of time and resources. Laura also teaches readers when not to use psychic or intuitive faculties. Readers are warned to refrain from using intuitive faculties when pursuing goals that are either neurotic or highly esoteric, as neither benefits our lives and the lives of those around us directly and in a positive way. Laura also encourages us to record our experiments with intuition in a journal and advises us that not recording intuitive information and experiments in a journal is a form of self sabotage. Laura's approach to psychic and/or intuitive abilities is a healthy one in that she gives ample advice on how not to practice intuition in a way that causes harm or in a way that negates the practice efforts of the student. The book is logically structured. Intuition is presented as a naturalistic process, analogous to a wheel supported by various spokes. These spokes include information gathering, mediumship, remote viewing, telepathy, body heat telepathy, remote viewing, and healing. Topics like astral projection and communicating with spirits are mentioned, but are presented as extensions of the above categories. Each of the categories of intuition described above is presented as a chapter, headed by a "Quick Hit" exercise that the reader is encouraged to do before How to Rule the World from Your Couch is a deceptively simple book and one can skim through it, but if one is going to benefit from the book it has to be practiced. How to Rule the World from your Couch is well worth the small investment of the cost of the book. If properly utilized this book will become an indispensable tool for your arsenal of daily living. Daily life is complex and far more wonderful and frightening that any fiction or fantasy. A well developed sense of intuition will help you cut out unnecessary experiences and help save you from wasting time in pursuing activities, helping you to get right to the core of the matter and make the most practical and fortuitous decisions. In graduate school one of my professors made us practice "the taxi driver test", meaning that we had to describe psychological concepts in a way that our next taxi driver would clearly be able to understand. How to Rule the World from Your Couch passes the taxi driver test, and in doing so does not describe psychic phenomena in a way that is condescending to the audience. The book is also not an apologetic call for psychic powers. Readers are given very clear instructions on how to approach their natural born intuitive (psychic) abilities and are asked to see for themselves if they work. The results for me have been nothing short of amazing. I have had this book for over two years and still refer back to it several times a week and learn something each time I pick it up. Through the book I have learned to remote view people and situations in my life that need healing and to heal them. Just last week I saw a friend of mine in trouble through remote viewing. I performed a healing on her using the Gumball technique described in the book and the friend called me out of the blue the next day reporting that she had accomplished a task that she had been waiting months to attend to and that she gained a flash of insight about using an old resource, long neglected to accomplish the task. I have also used this technique to help a friend in the real estate business assess houses through mediumship and remote viewing and to gain insight into how experts learn new skills. I am sure that the skills I learned in this book help me get an A in college chemistry, despite the fact that I have a diagnosed learning disability in mathematics and a long standing fear of chemistry. I attacked my chemistry class not through misdirected hard work, but through directed smart work that responded to information gleaned through intuitive practice. Get the book and start making your mental clutter and daydreams work for you!

Good, but not for everyone
Good, but not for everyone. I will agree that this book has its issues. But it also has a wealth of information that has been dynamite for me. I loved the Mediumship section - I've used mediumship in some similar ways in the past, but this section really helped me understand how I can use it (and how I already *do* use it) more fully. She's a genius.I did have some trouble with the Telepathy and Body Heat Telepathy sections, simply because I don't think that all of the steps are included in her "here's how you do it" section. How do you actually send your message? From what I read, merely getting in proper rapport is enough? Not sure.I greatly enjoyed her book "Practical Intuition" and did all of the exercises, which were great fun. This book has taken me further and has given me a LOT to think about in terms of how intuitive gifts weave together and add to each other.Thank you, Ms. Day!

Very Interesting But Hard Going
Would love to be able to say I have implemented all of the techniques in this fascinating book but to be honest it's probably a bit much for my brain to deal with. Laura asks you to be another person, a country, a company etc and I just could not get my head around this but I could see that if you can then all things are possible. I will go back to it again when I am in a different mind set. I would recommend if you are in business and looking for something a little outside of the box to improve sales.

Powerful book to develop your intuitive skills
An easy to follow book (with exercises and examples) which guides you in the development of your intuitive side. Many people have grown up learning not to trust their intuitions, this book is for these particular people (I think it is for half of the world population). The book is written as a seminar and divided in chapters, so you can jump to read the session you are more interested into. Highly recommended to start your journey in finding your true self and polishing your intuitive skill. IT IS FANTASTIC! Buy it immediately.
