Fifty Shades of Chicken: A Parody in a Cookbook

I found out about this book through my daughter who found it through one of her guy friends. It is absolutely hilarious!! If you have a friend who is out there and loves unique gifts, this would be a great gift. Great conversational piece for your book shelf as well. Not only is this a good parody, the recipes in the book look great too.

This is a great and hilarious cookbook! A taudry tale along with some flavorful recipes. If you're a Fifty shades fan and enjoy cooking you absolutely Must have this in your collection!

The recipes are varied and tasty. They are bound to please all. I bought TWO of the books.

As other reviews mentioned, this makes a great gift. It was the star of my white elephant! The recipes look really good too.

I bought this as a gift and haven't made any of the recipes but the book came in great condition and the recipes are fun and look good

I have made a couple of the recipes in this book so far and they have all been incredibly delicious. I am struck by the amount of recipes that do not ask me to go buy lots of strange ingredients that I don't already have (or aren't usually on my shopping list) and meet the picky eating habits of my household. These relatively simple dishes taste like special occasion food and are easy to prepare from the directions. I haven't roasted many whole chickens in my life, but there are so many enticing and accomplishable recipes here that it may become a staple in our culinary repertoire.Each dish is separated and sometimes preceded with a piece of parodical writing recasting the characters from "Fifty Shades of Grey" as a chef and his ingredient. Occasionally, the parallels take the already sensual act of cooking to a heightened erotic place that is sometimes appropriate and other-times awkwardly reaching. Perhaps the concept of the Chef literally consuming Ms. Hen at the end of each cooking episode is the most apt interpretation of the original source material, but I still find it hard to think about the raw chicken's ecstasy at being roasted as I slide it into my oven.

Hilarious pictures. Got this as a gift for my dad for Christmas.Yes a cook, these are real chicken recipes. They have funny names and pictures. A++I think this was my favorite gift I gifted this year

I got this for my wife as an anniversary present. She absolutely loves it and has talked about how great it is for 4 days strsight!

This book makes me laugh every time I open it to look for a recipe. I have tried 5 so far and they are all fantastic. Some really simple and some a little more complex, but overall, with ingredients that are readily available. I would recommend this book to anyone. It's a great gift to any home. I plan to buy three more for my adult children. You won't regret buying this. Thank you for putting together such a wonderful cookbook. 😊

Ich habe das Buch zu einer Hochzeit verschenkt und bekomme immer wieder sehr positive Rückmeldungen (und das von einem großen Chicken-Fan!).Die Rezepte sind sehr umfassend und abwechslungsreich und das ganze Konzept ist einfach witzig - auch wenn man kein Fan der parodierten Bücherreihe ist.
