The media could not be loaded. I was so happy to start a new journal. I sat down and wrote the date with the new pen I bought especially for journaling. I was all set; coffee, water and pen. I was on my way to my first journal entry in years. I was quickly interrupted by something one of my elderly parents needed. When I got back to my room I was further distracted by another news story about ¿George Santos?. I have adult onset chronic pain related ADHD. I get distracted...a lot. As I sat back down I heard my 8 month old huskie pulling on something with his teeth. He was really having a good chew and I figured he was gnawing on one of his new "indestructible" bones. He didn't notice me coming towards him, didn't manage to get under the bed like he usually does when he has something he shouldn't. Then I saw what he had....I screeched "Caillou,you little b@$+@£♧!" , he paused and gave me a very stinky side eye.Overall the journal survived. It appears he was trying to get the stone or latch off but failed. I must admit it is a great journal, it is very well made. Caillou managed a few small rips but he didn't destroy it. It seems to be especially tasty leather too.

I never write reviews, and I honestly knew nothing of rustic town when I chose this journal. I wanted to get something that felt special because I’m going to write to my son and give it to him when he’s older (sappy I know lol)This came so well packaged. The draw string bag isn’t extravagant but it’s thoughtful and an extra little barrier for the journal. They had a piece of foam over the lapis to keep it from breaking in transit and I think what was most meaningful to me is that they work with ASAH. I personally don’t know much about this particular organization, but I implore everyone to do what they can to help others. We all deserve to be valued.

The leather has such detail and the lined pages are perfect for me because without then I tend to start drifting and winding up slanted :-/

Bought this as a gift. He opened it and thought it was awesome. Beautifully made. Loved the paper that it was made with. Would definitely buy this again not only for myself but as a gift

The cover with stone and fastener is beautiful. The paper is bound well, also. I was pleased to find this as a gift for a friend who lost her mother.However, I was disappointed that the first section of paper had damage (dents) identical to that of way-too tight bindings from top to bottom and from side to side in the middle at some point in its history. The very first page was also scratched, warped, and smudged. As this is an immediate gift, I was disappointed that I don't have time to return it to the seller for replacement. I did not report it to them but instead removed (easily) the front page and its bound counterpart, and am using it as-is with remaining indentations.Mid-construction or pre-shipment inspection would help this. The flaw would be less noticeable if it were the back section not the front; of course, better to replace the section before shipment.

I usually never write reviews as i am not an avid online shopper, but i must say that it is because i was so thoroughly impressed with the craftsmanship of this journal that i had to make it a point to come on here and give my best praise.Journaling has always been a major part of who i am. I have always had a deep love for writing, and i write everything from randomized lists to fictional stories to my own pure thoughts and feelings, so it’s always been important to me that i have an equally special place to store all of those things which i hold sacred to myself. And this is the most perfect journal for those things. You can see the care and attention to detail down to the stitching, and the paper feels so nice to write on. I also loved that they included a bag, as well as a personal thank you note and care instructions for the beautiful leather exterior. I absolutely love my journal, and it is safe to say that it’s my favorite i have ever owned. If you haven’t been able to tell already, i highly recommend this journal for yourself or even as a gift for someone close to you who enjoys writing as much as i do. 15 stars.

I ordered three as gifts. The covers were of high quality leather craftsmanship, the pages were blank thick stock and secured well. Only use will tell me if they remain secured, but they look like a safe bet. Each cover has its own unique shade of the same brown color and the stones differ a bit too, all beautifully designed. The book closes with a pretty hook which lined up nicely and worked securely. If I had any disappointment, the stones were darker than I had hoped but still very nice. I was aware by the description that each book would be individually crafted but still I was not completlely satisfied with one of three, basically the craftsmanship and leather appeared a much lower quality. All 3 journals would be opened by friends at the same time and I wanted each one to look as nice as the others. So, I contacted the seller for a replacement, they immediately replied and sent out in 2 days time a replacement which was of the same leather quality and finished craftsmanship as the other two! As highly pleased as I am with the product it was the experience I had with this seller which was a rare surprise. It was the smoothest transaction and best replacement I could have hoped for. Everyone should practice such good business relations.
