Works
Update 2: I finished my personal DIY project and you can decide if it is worth it.Update: I still like this product but it is a slow process to get right. The Zelda picture isn't finished and I am waiting the final dry to see if it is ready for the product coating or not. So far it has been around 20 hours or so. 15 has been drying since I let it dry over night and about 4 hours drying between slowly rubbing away the paper super gently with a cloth. The Pokémon didn't come out as well. My conclusion on the product is two fold. First it takes time and practice to get a good product. I mean a lot of time and patience. Secondly, if you're using wood you need to properly prepare the wood. The Zelda was two separate pieces of wood that I joined into one piece with glue and wood filler so a lot of prep work went into making into one piece of wood. So I think it came out very well. The Pokémon I didn't put as much time into sanding it down as I should have and it shows. As far as the Zelda piece they are parts at the bottom where the paper wasn't pressed properly into the wood. So great product just takes a lot of time, preparation and patience.Ok this the Matte finish. This is not my original picture. I downloaded it from the internet and this block of unfinished wood is going to be a controller holder. The finished product is not bad for a first go around. I have a couple other that I have to redo. I did a few at the same time. I can see it taking a few times to truly master and get perfection. Overall though for my own personal use I find it great. I find that applying the product to the base, my case the wood, and not the picture worked better and was easier to readjust as I was putting it on the wood. Follow directions is key. If using a block like mine cut it to size it helps. I didn't on some and the edges came off hence the bottom right of the picture. The bottom left was a cut off piece. White areas are indeed whatever color the base ends up being or whatever doesn't have toner. Now my printer isn't a true laser but an LED printer which is like a laser printer but still with good results. Inkjet was hit and miss. I wanted to see the difference and just wasn't worth trying. The areas that really transferred was did fine but there were a lot of areas that didn't and seemed random. I will use this for future projects.

Takes patience
Overall, the product worked well. I actually took 2 attempts because I rubbed too hard and damaged the design a lot on my first time. Since I didn't seal it, I was able to just use lots of elbow grease and remove it with lots of rubbing. I still had some slight errors on my 2nd attempt, but I was satisfied with the result. My project was unique though because I did it over a wooden puzzle so it wasn't a completely flat surface. If you follow the steps correctly and are patient, then the image will come out nicely, at least on wood.Unless you use a very thin layer, I don't like it as the final coat because it wasn't smooth feeling. I wish I used a different coating.

Major fail
I made three separate attempts with failure each time. The product says you can use on glass but it did not work for me. I was very careful to follow directions. I used alcohol to clean the glass first and made sure to allow it to dry overnight before dubbing the paper away using water a short circular strokes in small sections. I was disappointed that the words rubbed away long with the paper.

All dried up in bottle
Product is all dried up in bottle. I gave 3 stars because Amazon made it really simple to replace the product. Don’t even need to return the defective product. Hopefully the next bottle will be better.
