Medical-Surgical Nursing: Concepts for Interprofessional Collaborative Care

I was really worried after I read reviews of people either not getting access codes or saying the codes were bogus but mine worked and my book was new in the plastic. There is a black dot like others mentioned you could barely see. I don’t know what the black dot signifies but I really don’t care because the access code worked and the book was perfect. Ordering here saved money and when you have to buy so many it adds up fast.

I loved this book for many reasons. The first is that it goes very much in depth with each topic. The second is that it is easy to follow. Each body system is labeled by color which makes it easy to find. The group of chapters for each body system start with one chapter regarding the physical makeup’s of the system and then from there on it dives into detail. For example, the GI system starts with basic pathophysiology, and then the following chapters break it into upper GI disorders, lower GI disorders, and then outlying disorders in the next. Highly recommended if you are in nursing school, even if this book isn’t on your required list!

This book is well written and goes extensively into details. USE THE BOOK while in nursing school. You will pass. Also be weary of who you rent from on amazon. I never had an issue until I rented this book from eCampus_. Ordered this book in "Still like new/Good" condition, but it came in held together by massive amounts of tape, and the pages were barely hanging on. I thought this book was going to to fall to pieces if I traveled with it. All of the pages are here but I was NOT expecting the book to be less put together than my mental state in nursing school.

Recommend for Nursing students

The book arrived new and shrink-wrapped with the access code still covered. I was able to redeem the code. This is an excellent book and I highly recommend it. It was also required for my class. A new edition will be published this year. I purchased the 10th ed. I also purchased the Clinical Companion and the Study Guide for the main text.

4 stars because my textbook was delivered early, because of the price, and because my textbook was brand new! BUT packaging should be better.
