Not sure what to say about this one. The rug 'looks' nice and seems to be well made. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that it would have a rubber backing. That I could have lived with, but the smell of this thing is horrific! Very strong chemical odor that hasn't gone away. Granted I've only had it for just more than 24 hours, but I left it outside all night (protected from moisture) and as soon as I brought it into the house, and it started warming up (it was less than 40 degrees outside), the smell began to permeate everything. I'll give it a few more days to see if it offgasses enough to use, but if not, it will be going back.

Beautiful and very well made. I love this rug which I have in my bedroom. Because it's made of natural sea grass, it's not soft to walk on but nonetheless, I love walking on it especially in bare feet because it reminds me of being at the beach. The colors are subtle and beautiful and exactly as they appear in the photo. I've had this for several months and have had no issues with construction, and vacuum it as you would any normal rug.

Nice runner rug. It’s has a nice weight to it. But I put carpet tape on the corners just in case. The only cons are since the rug is so long it stops right on front of my desk area and the rug thickness and stiffness makes it hard to role office chair over the rug ends. Also it is really stiff and hard on feet when waking barefoot on it. But I feel like neither of these cons are related to the rug quality so I am not going to remove stars because of it.I’ve only had the rug a few days so I cannot speak to longevity. If I notice this rug beginning to fray or curl at the corners I will repost.

I ordered 3 of these in different sizes. Two are fine and as expected, no chemical smell, correct size, seem to be well made, BUT one did come with mildew all over the 2 ends. I was able to clean it off with no issue, but it’s still a little off putting. If it wasn’t for the mildew I would have given 5 stars.

This carpet is much darker than pictured.It smelled very heavily by chemicals.I put it out on patio to get rid of the smell.Otherwise it looks very durable but only time tells.few days later the chemical smell from the carpet disappeared and it looks stunning in the living room.Bit rough on the bare foot but otherwise very good purchase.Will update later to comment on durability and practicability.24 h outside smell persists.

The tag said "sisal" and it was sold as "jute." Both of these are natural plant fibers. However, some chemical must have been used in the process of manufacturing it or in the backing, as it smelled HORRIBLE. It is definitely a chemical smell. I had to remove it from my house, so I placed it with the backing facing up in my garage and a month and a half later the smell subsided. (That's a month and a half!) It is finally inside.

I love my rugs! Some people were complaining about the smell. Mine did have a weird rotten egg/rubber odor after unrolling, but it literally only took one day to go away. I just cracked the door for a couple of hours and it was not a problem at all. I love how durable they are and so easy to clean. All I have to do was use warm soapy water and a brush to get any spills or stains out. I can also vacuum just like it's carpet. Some people also complained that the rugs weren't comfortable to walk on, but I don't mind at all. It just feels like walking on an outdoor rug.

I love the price but I love these runner even more. I've had one for 3 years and its still great and we just ordered another in a darker color and it's awesome for under the sink area as a runner. Love it!
