Magnificent book
This book is without question the largest book I've ever ordered and the packaging for it exceeded any book shipment I've ever received. I was hesitant paying the most cost of any book I ever had but it IS worth it and it'll be a joy spending hours learning the book.I just wish I was one of the first 1,000 special edition orders that have sold out. The cover on that edition is bad-ass.Terry

Must purchase this if your any fan of the park!
This was a great book! Lots of info and memories brought back from visiting the park as a child and to what it is now. Every year is covered.

Not just nostalgia.
This is a spectacular book that offers a rich feast of information in both visual and written form. The first and most obvious audience is people who visited the park (ever) and feel nostalgic about the experience. It is a scrapbooker's extreme scrapbook offering up mementos on every page to stir up memories and share with friends who went along or wished they had.Rolling Through the Years is far more than a scrapbook, however. It is a serious and important work of history that is relevant to an amazing range of specialized fields of interest. Moving from small to large, it contains reliable information about Cedar Point (obviously), Sandusky, Lake Erie, Ohio, the Midwest, state and national politics, cultural studies, business, the Industrial Revolution, the parallel development of canals and railroads, the history of Great Lakes shipping and boat building, marketing, and -- deep breath -- roller coasters. This being said, I hope that librarians across the country will purchase this book as a unique and truly valuable reference. I'm not just talking about public libraries; I'm talking about research and academic libraries with specialized collections for historians, business majors, engineers, geographers, sociologists, entrepreneurs, economists, and the twinned fields of hospitality and entertainment.Hello, Harvard Business School, have you done a case study on Cedar Point? If you haven't, grab this book and start developing a curriculum. Or two. Or three.
