No Soggy Chicken Fried Steak for Me
This is the second time I've purchased a large quantity of panko. I use one and keep the others in the freezer. We got turned off with breaded meats such as pork chops, chicken, fish, etc. Regular breading soaks up the grease and the bottom was always soggy. After first trying panko to bread my meats, I won't go back to regular breading. Panko stays crispy throughout the entire baking or frying process, doesn't have its own peculiar flavor and makes garnishes a breeze...like a thin coating on mac and cheese. Sushi Chef Panko is not as expensive as some of the other brands and is every bit as good. This is a staple in my pantry. Give it a try; you'll be delighted, too.

Professional chef's panko choice
My wife is a professional chef. The only panko she will use ifs this product. The size, consistency, freshness, and lack of oil odor makes it her ONLY panko. If you tasted her food you would agree she knows what she is talking about.

This is a lot more than I realized
I neglected to take into account that 8 oz of breadcrumbs is actually quite a lot of breadflakes. I ordered this thinking I would use it up similar to the normal breadcrumbs. But panko is much less dense than normal crumbs. I've deep fried 2-3 chickens (deboned and cut into pieces) and am less than half way through 1 bag.As far as the product it's self, it's good quality. Havent had any issues with it. It's panko, hard to mess it up.

Great Panko. Much less expensive in the grocery store if they have it.
I love the product. The only drawback is it was way expensive over the grocery store price.

Yum! And cheap!
If you've ever overpaid for a tiny bag of panko in the grocery store, consider stocking up on these excellent crumbs. They are well packaged for long term storage (inner zipper bag inside box) and handle and taste great. Well worth the money, especially if you get them on prime. And yes, we cook constantly and have tried many different brands.

Love the product normally but two boxes have had worms in them
I have ordered this product several times and this time around I have had two brand new sealed boxes that when open were full of worms. The first time I caught it as I was making dinner and the entire meal had to be thrown out, the second time now that I had seen them I caught as I opened the box. Gross.

Sushi Chef Panko Flakes
Very light and so it is easy to mix spices and herbs with them. They adhere well but though crispy in the box, did not cook as crispy as I wanted unless I sprayed them with Pam

Best Panko on the Market
For some reason... blame it on COVID?... I can no longer find these wonderful Japanese bread flakes in my grocery store. Buying them in bulk (with free Prime shipping!) guarantees that I'll always have them on hand. I use them for everything! From breading fish or chicken to crumb toppings, they are the very best. Don't settle for any other brand!
