This gun is POWERFUL. I would not recommend this for smaller children who may shoot the darts at their siblings. It will hurt. I would however recommend this over ANY nerf gun for the right age kid. It's well worth the money. Very well built and functions really well. The fact it takes 2 sizes of darts is also a plus. It's also an excellent tool to teach your kid safety of a firearm.

This is a pretty powerful dart gun! It shoots very fast and hurts when you get shot with it, even through layers of clothing. Actually leaves bruises and raised, red welts!! Very unlike his nerf guns that we have a good time with, shooting each other outside. Of course my son loves it, but he now knows he can't shoot anyone with it unless they are very well protected - eyewear, heavy coat, helmet, etc., basically like playing paintball. Seems to be well-made. I would not recommend this gun for anyone under 14.

Wow this gun shoots powerful darts! The smaller ones hurt worse bc they go faster. If u want a powerful gun this is the way to go!

For starters, I'm an avid gun owner, I own quite the collection of firearms, this thing is pretty accurate to the real steel counterpart, if you're familiar with any Armalite platform then you'll have no problem learning how to operate it.Platform is pretty good, can use most nerf magazines and comes with a Half length magazine adapter for katanas and other mags,The reason for the 4 star review is the seller sent me the camouflage version, and I specifically wanted the Blaze orange version.It's shooting really hot, not as hard as an airsoft gun but still harder than anything NERF ever has put out.Make sure to wear eye protection!It paints up pretty well too!
