The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because one of the rails doesn't work as smooth as the others. It also has a part that is supposed to keep both drawers from being open at the same time, to avoid tipping over. That part broke after the 2nd or 3rd time of opening the top drawer, which kept the drawer from closing properly. We had to remove that part in order to get the drawer to close completely. As for the ease of assembly, it took about an hour to put together.

I've been looking for a nice file cabinet to hold a new printer. This lateral 2-drawer cabinet is a nice piece and matches my floor! Here's my experience:--I put it together myself with no problem...I took my time, so maybe about 2 hours--I found one of the front doors was drilled wrong to accommodate pieces/screws. I called the 800# and got someone right away. Very friendly and helpful. They had a new door shipped to me in about a week.--Photo instructions were easy to follow.I recommend this product and the company.

I keep a lot of files and was looking for a cabinet that meets my needs and looks great. The cabinet arrived without any damaged, very well packed. It did take some time to assemble, about one hours to lay all of the pieces out by their number and about two hours to complete the assembly.The only negative I have about the cabinet is the bottom board for each draw could be a little stronger.

Pretty easy to put together! But after it was together & it has files in it now the bottom drawer will not stay shut w/out a piece of something wedged in it

Great look and quality for the price

Had my brother put this together for me, took him about 3hrs. It is sturdy, drawers slide easily & it looks great. I wanted something that looked like a piece of furniture as it was going into my bedroom. It fits the bill. Holds everything I need in a very efficient and nice looking way.

Ultimately, my mother is happy with this product. It's sturdy and she likes the way it looks. However, an extra set of screws were included but no nails, so my brother had to make a trip to the hardware store to purchase the nails needed to complete putting together the cabinet. Also, while the instructions were "pretty good," my brother stated that the drawers were challenging to put together (and he's pretty handy). For the price, he thinks four stars for this item is fair.

Filing cabinet arrived damaged and no assembly directions included.
