I had the original remote for my television and it had been abused by multiple drops onto a hardwood floor. This one is more durable than the original one, it works better, and has more options to go directly to streaming services. It seems to have sufficient range to change the television from any spot in front of the television. I have not tried from behind it as you need to see the screen to do stuff and that makes no sense to use it while not looking at the screen. Easy to use, it works great with my television, and is small enough to make it not bulky. I love it.

Light, sturdy, , nice ergonoimics, the buttons feel good (no bouncing or cheesy feel) and they execute quickly. Lots of functional options and I love the immediate access to Prime and Netflix, AND, it paired right away with my sound bar so I have full control with just one remote. There is no back-lighting but that doesn't matter to me really. This device is a major bang-for-the-buck. I have been looking for a decent replacement (returned a couple because of flaky button contacts and functionality problems) for the horrible battery gobbling LG Magic Remote and this is the ticket!

As with many replacements for factory original parts, I figured this might require some setup and/or have some limitations. Pleased to say that it worked flawlessly right out of the box. It does not look exactly like the provided remote, which stopped working after about a year. ( The middle button on the navigation wheel no longer works - a typical occurrence I’m learning.) We bought another controller that was cheaper. We had bought that one, two times due to the plastic breaking. With this one, I could tell the plastic was thicker. It's held up quite well to 4 kids handling it. If this one continues to hold up, it will be the go to when it needs to be replaced. The only issue I've seen is the controller will sometimes not respond and say it needs to be connected. Then will connect a few seconds later. This happens very rarely though. Not sure what triggers this behavior.
