Works perfectly
Needed this for my newly adopted fur baby as he practically inhaled his food. The people who had him before us had 5 other dogs and we think he had to fight for his food and that's why he would eat so fast with us. This bowl worked exactly how we hoped for him. It slowed his eating down and now after months of using thses bowls, he can eat out of a normal bowl slowly.

It’s a good product
Unfortunately my pug/ schnauzer stills eats too fast he’s little so he’s able to get between the groves of the bowl pretty quick still.

So helpful!
The media could not be loaded. Our dog “INHALES” his food in 5 seconds. He does not chew at all (whether it be his meal or a treat or s snack. I found out that dogs got can bloating & possibly die from it if they don’t chew on their food. No matter if we give him little by little, he still just gulps it down & rarely chews on his food. We had to find ways to help him slow down his consumption to prevent bloating. I was initially looking for a stainless steel unfortunately most of them have huge spaces in between the bowl. This product was the perfect one for a good price too. The space are small enough where he needs to use his tongue to be able to get his food (which is a great thing because it makes him work hard for it instead of inhaling it in one second). It’s a little tough to clean around the crevices but just get a brush or a soft sponge and you should be food. The plastic is thick too & you can tell made of good quality , does not break easy. 10/10.

A great challenge
Our Yorkie's LOVE the Challenge and it slows them down from inhaling their food.

Exactly perfect 👌
My doggo, 10 yo Australian Shepherd was INHALING her food (mostly figuratively), she'd be done with her 1 cup kibble twice a day, in, I'd say a matter of seconds, then cough a bunch, then sniff around for more, lol. This perfectly fits 1 cup, I suppose if you needed to, you could put a little bit more in, but not much. The look she gave me when I first fed her with it was priceless! She looked at it, calculating how she's going to approach it, then looked up like "You gotta be joking, ok, I'm your Huckleberry!" Took her 15 mins first few times, now she's down to about 6 mins, and seems to have platoed at that.Exactly what I wanted 👍

Didn't slow down my little dog AT ALL!!!
I have a 7 year old 11 pound Pekingese. She had 2 slow feeders before this one, but had memorized them and was eating too fast and puking recently. The other designs were more her size, but simplistic - 1 had 3 bumps, 1 had zig zag lines - but she got used to them and they stopped slowing her down. They worked for 5 or 6 years though! So, I got this bowl and another bowl thinking new designs and bigger bowls with taller "bumps" would be more challenging. She only eats 1/4 cup per meal, so her food was scattered about in one layer in this new bowl. The bones and bumps are twice as tall as her old bowl, but less spacing between. However, Pekingese have smashy faces like Pugs, Bostons, Frenchies & Chins, so this SHOULD have been challenging for her! Lots of brachycephalic breeds would/should struggle or be slowed down by 95% of slow feed designs, because their short snouts can't reach the bottom of the bowl as easily... at least in theory. Well, first feeding with this bones bowl was finished in 2 minutes flat. When her old bowls were new, it took her 10 minutes to eat! So, this didn't work for my dog, but may for other breeds of various builds and sizes.*For anyone else struggling with the same issue as I am, the only thing that has worked is putting her meal in an Orbee Tuff Lil Snoop. You pop the center out, fill it with a handful or so of food, pop the center back in, and push the food down in the 'walls' of the toy. I set it down flat side down, and my dog starts batting it around like a cat, picks it up and throws it with her mouth, and small amounts of food fall out as the Snoop rolls, wobbles and bounces around. It's made of a tough type of silicone I think. Not rubber, not hard plastic. It's translucent purple. My dog has not ever damaged an Orbee Tuff toy, but a larger/stronger dog might. They make a standard size Snoop in several colors, too and 'Nooks' you can place in the center to make it more challenging to get treats or food out! Some dogs may simply stick their snout IN the Snoop and try to lick the food out from the walls. My dog sees it as a fun toy that spits out goodies if she moves it, which works good! Feeding takes 10 - 15 minutes, and her body and brain gets a workout!!! I'm lucky she is small, and so are her meals, but with a large breed dog or a lesser quality food (more is fed each meal) may mean a Lil Snoop or regular Snoop may need to be filled more than once to feed a whole meal that way.All in all, I think this bowl may work dog who are new to slow feeders or puzzle/mazes, but it didn't work at all for slowing down my little piggy! Good luck!

Good for a small dog with a skinny nose
This bowl works really well for my chihuahua. It slows her eating down but still allows her to eat from it. My shih tzu would not be able to use it because her wide, flat face would keep her from accessing the food.

It really slows her down
I really didn't think this would work fir my cavapoo. But it definitely slows her down and stops her hoovering up her food and rushing off to pinch the shih tzu's dinners.

Too big for a small dog
Unfortunately too big for my dog, it’s slowed him down a bit chasing food around. Slides all over the place on laminate wood floor.

Slows down my puppy
My puppy used to get hiccups after eating as she would eat her food in under a minute! This really slows her down, probably takes her around 5 minutes now as she need to move the food around to get it out. Would recommend

Dog bowls
I bought those as my puppy was eating to fast. This helps her slow down eating food, all my dogs enjoy trying to get the food out as they think it is a game.It has rubber clips underneath to stop it from moving around the room.Would highly recommend it, I bought two of those.
