Love these props
I have a 21’ Laron 210 LXi with the 270hp 5.0 VP GXI and this prop is a great match. Lots of holeshot for skiing and midrange for cruising, while still hitting a 52mph top speed. Sure, a stainless could get me a few more MPH but if you hit something with it the lower into gears tend to give before the prop. This my 3rd one. First one the wife drove into a gravel bar and curled all 4 blades beyond repair. 2nd one got some minor damage but at this price it was cheaper to replace than getting repaired.

My Experence
Here my 2 cents. Me: Chaparral 180 3.0LX 135HPOem Prop: 14.25 X 19p 3blade alum. WOT (wide open throttle) trim down 4400rpm 34mph. (Basic prop).2nd Prop: 14 X 19p 3blade SS. WOT trim down 4600rpm 36mph. (good low end punch)3rd Prop: Turning Point 14 X 19p 4blade. WOT trim down 4200rpm 38mph. (great value)The redline WOT rpm for this engine is 4800rpm. When trimming up,to increase rpm, every 100rpm gives you 2mph.You can imagine when trimming up the turning point prop to get to 4800rpm the little 3.0L hits about 45mph a gets alitte sketchy. The steering gets really light. Its great when your on glass water. But if a little chop comes into play, hang on to your panties. Do I have to go Max rpm, probably not. Im just putting it to the test. Sitting at idle & throwing the throttle down. Remind you, the boat is empty with only me 175lbs.In conclusion: This prop is a great value. $140 (prop & hub kit). It has great punch out of the hole & does everything its suppose to do. Its pretty much a toss up between this prop & the SS 3blade. But if cost is the issue, it a no brainer. Turning Point all the way. But I think next time with this type of Alum 4blade prop, Iwould go with a 14 X 17p. It might decrease the WOT top speed @ 4800rpm. But would have a better punch out of the hole. I guess it depends on what you use your boat for. Just my opinion. Also remember to notch the trim tab.

What are you waiting for ?
Ran this for a season now. This prop does everything right. It's all true what you have read when switching from a 3 blade to a 4 blade with the exception of one thing. I did not loose any top speed. The holeshot is incredible. Low speed manaverability is so much better "I can dock her on a dime" The minimum plane speed is much slower when it come time to tackle some big swells. I feel there is no need to go the stainless route if your engine is rated under 300 hp. I've had several boats that I switch to some big dollar 4 blade props but never had near this much improvement. Way To Go Turning Point On Such An Awesome Product You Have Gained A Life Long Customer ! ! !

Makes a big difference
The prop that came with our boat had seen better days. After running that one and changing to our new prop, it was night and day. Handles great, quieter and worth the buy.

Works as advertised!
Old 17in pitch props caused my engines to over rev while my 28 ft boat struggled to stay on plane at 4000 rpm. Now cruising around 25mph at 3500rpm with 19inprops, 4blade
