Fun addition to your gaming table
I wasn't sure what to expect when this came in. It's a thin balsa or similar wood kit with a design burnt / etched into the surface. It was easy to assemble, feels reasonably sturdy once it's all together, and has some nice metal pieces that add to the appearance. I stained it (except for the teeth) and used a few tricks from mini painting to make it look a bit weathered, and now it's an absolutely terrifying addition to the game table. The hinges work well, and nothing feels like it's going to come apart on repeated use. It holds plenty of dice, although most of mine are oversized metal dice, so I don't get the full advertised 9+ sets in it. Still, they add a tantalizing glint of possibly precious metal inside, which lends to the atmosphere created by the piece. That said, I might get some of those gold foil chocolate coins to put in it for our next game, just so I can snap it shut on the fingers of any player who reaches for a treat...

Pathetic really.
It broke while I was trying to put it together. Wood snapped as I tried go form the lid. Flimsy wood that splintered and broke. Pathetic really.

Pieces don't fit
Looks good in concept but parts do not line up properly for the tiny screws to hold it together

The wood is extremely fragile
The top section of the chest breaks since you have to bend it to shape
