Adult sizes were too large on my mom & this fits just right. She's 95 lbs with thin legs so got her a kid's size.It could be softer - only downside is it is very quite stiff

Definitely not for an adult. Appears it is good construction and would be good for someone that would have very skinny knees. If you are around 100 pounds or less they may work but are tailored more for kids or more for a 65-120# ish area.
