Well written and organized.
Well written and organized. Breaks down concept easier. Depending on what area one is working - ER or ICU. There are other books that should also be invested in. Marinos "The ICU Book" and/or Sheehy's Manual for Emergency Care. However, this book is a great place to start or a good refresher. Well worth the investment.

Love it. I have been a nurse for over 20 years and am newly transitioning to a position in the ED. Even after working 9 years in a PICU I quickly realized the ED was an entity of it's own. Nicely laid out, quizzes and important information pointed out. Good refresher/resource tool. Would recommend.

Great reference book
I've used this to get through my critical care course as a second textbook. It's very helpful. Clear, concise, and full of littlequizzes to test you on a topic before moving on to the next one.I'd recommend this to anyone who needs something besides the huge textbook.

Love it!
I got this as a refresher as I am switching to a critical care setting. It is easy to read, very informative, and I am learning new info as I am being reminded of things long forgotten since nursing school. Pathophys explanations are short but packed with info. This has been a great buy.

Quick and easy
Straight and to the point....Each section is broken down into: What you need to KNOW, What you need to DO. Specific interventions for more common ER situations (MI, asthma, stroke).

It'd possibly be good for someone in nursing school
It's simple!! It'd possibly be good for someone in nursing school, and maybe 1st year ED OR ICU.
