GOSCHE 394 mil 16 sqft Sound Deadener for Car, 10mm Thick Sound Deadening Mat Materials Can be Better with Audio Noise Insulation and Vibration Dampening 9.8″x 15.7″(15-Piece)

Seems to be a pretty good sound deadener for the money. Purchased it to cut the noise from my 1967 Dodge’s roof. Wanted something that wasn’t as heavy as Boom Mat to adhere to the interior roof. Moderately dense, foam-based material. Much thicker than butyl sound deadener (this is close to 1/2” thick). Easy to work with and conform. Had best results cutting with large, sharp scissors and using upholstery adhesive on the roof before peeling and sticking this on.Happy with it for the roof but would I personally not use for the floor. Too thick and spongy for me. Will not cut the sound as much as a butyl material but still cut exterior noise noticeably.

I used it to add a layer of sound proofing and hopefully even heat proofing the engine cover in our RV.It sticks REALLY well, it's easy to cut. Perfect solution

The 15 of 394 mil was enough to surround both wheel wells in my van, and I had 2 full pieces left over that I used elsewhere. I used 2" aluminum foil tape to seal all cuts/joins. I found the adhesive to be adequate but not excessive. It works best on bare or painted metal, but also adheres to wood. It is flexible enough to adhere to rounded edges, if the curve is significant you may need to cut out a small triangle so it sits flat.The silver material is of good quality and doesn't easily tear.I haven't driven the vehicle yet to know how well it does to reduce road or suspension noise.

The material worked out great. It was easy to use and it really cut down on the noise coming from the new exhaust system I put on my car. I ended up going two layers deep and I can hear myself think inside the car again even under hard acceleration. Would definitely recommend this to anyone!!!

We used this material as a sound deadening for a 1984 square body with a 305 8 cylinder. It reduced the noise significantly in the cab. Great value for the money especially since we had several squares left over. The glue once down held in place and did not slip. It's thikness was minimal but yet did a great job. There was no uncomfortable smell and to clean the material one had to simply wipe it down.

Works pretty well, extremely strong adhesive backing, never worry about it falling off.

The media could not be loaded. Does the job well for sound deadening and reducing heat. Very sticky. Overall a good product but I am concerned about it being fire resistant.

As I was laying in bed, trying to sleep with the furnace making quite a racket above my master bedroom, I got to thinking. I just bought some sound deadener material for my nephews car the other day. It's rated to go in the engine compartment, so I thought why not try it on the furnace? I'm pretty sure the furnace doesn't run hotter than the car engine. So we went ahead and put a couple of sheets on the panels that were rattling and reverberating. It didn't completely fix the issue, but it reduced it by a lot. Now all I hear is the air flow and fan noise. So if you are looking for a cheap and easy fix...
