VERY IMPRESSED!
I’m a welder by trade, and have used every type of welder out there. From cheap to the most expensive. And I am thoroughly impressed with how well this machine welds and its abilities.I bought this thing to do some home stuff and have been welding everything from sheet metal to heavy wall pipe and it works flawlessly.Would definitely buy another.**UPDATE** …I forgot to mention I too had the common “gas leak” at the solenoid valve everyone’s speaking of. I took it upon myself to correct it by just pushing the hose in farther. The manufacturer obviously used some lube to set the hoses and I believe a batch simply didn’t set in the PTC connector.Takes about 5 minutes to fix.

Great option for every level of welder!
I tig weld high alloy stainless for a living. This isn't a Miller or a Lincoln, but it does weld smoothly for my home projects. I don't know if it will allow a foot pedal, but the High Freak button works great... If you want to learn with this machine I say do it... If you know how to weld you won't have any problems making a pretty weld. I learned with scratch start with a Miller xmt. I don't think other than the duty cycle I would be able to tell the difference.

Lots of power for a tiny machine! Instructions are not for beginners though!
If you can't see any of my welds in the picture, that's probably a good thing because I've never tig welded before in my life. They ain't pretty, that's for sure. Lol.Before actually jumping in and starting to weld I watched at least a few hours of tig welding instructional videos. (I'd definitely recommend at least watching a few videos if you're a beginner like me.)If you're brand new to tig welding, you're going to have to spend roughly an extra $200 if you want to tig weld with this. You'll need the argon and a tank, a regulator, tungsten electrodes and you'll also need filler rods as well. The only reason I deducted a star on this welder is because of the instructions. They explain how to grind an electrode which is good, but they don't explain a key detail and that's how to hook up the cables and welding gun itself for stick vs. tig welding.I've tried to include pictures to help explain...In the picture where I'm holding the stick welder part, take note of where I have the cables connected. (The ground connector is plugged in on top and the stick welder cable is plugged into the bottom) That's how you have to have them connected for stick/arc welding. However, when you switch to tig welding, you switch the ground cable and plug it into the terminal that has a "+" icon next to it. (the bottom terminal. Now check out the pic with the tig welder gun to see how that's hooked up.)This is really the main part that took me a while to figure out. It doesn't seem super obvious that you'd need to connect a ground to the "+" terminal in my opinion. This may be super obvious to someone who has been welding for years, but for a brand new person learning, they definitely don't explain this well enough in the instructions.Really though, other than the one complaint I have about the instructions, this is an awesome little welder for basic/hobbyist type of use. The fact you can run it off of 220v is awesome. With stick welding it penetrates really deep and it has lots of power for tig as well.If you're new to welding and you want a nice small, portable welder I'd absolutely recommend giving this welder a try. I'm not sure how great it is from a professionals perspective, but once I was able to hook up the cables correctly, it worked perfectly for my use!

Make sure you know which welder your getting.
UPDATE:Even the A welder will weld just fine!!. I got the 180DP. Get the Amps right and BINGO!!The TIG is great. But Hard. Must have your Tungsten perfect for sharp ARC's. I purchased 1/16 Tungsten. Don't go that small. Go up in size. I'm on thin sheet metal a lot and it works great for that! All TIG Welders you want a great ARC. Great value. Really Happy!! I'm a hobby welder. After MIG it was easy to learn TIG and STICK. It all comes together in your mind if you love welding!! My beads are ugly. They were stick. It works better with better electrodes and if you stay in right Amperage zone. Test them all at all AMPS.

Did not work out of box
Set unit up on cart, hooked argon to it and with tank valve open the unit leaks gas inside of case. Unusable, sadden that I have the hassle of returning brand new item!

Honest review, simple set up, easy to use
Nice little welder, powerful for its size. The picture and add show a TIG215A, but it’s actually a TIG225A. Max amps for 110v for both tig and stick functions are 160. Max amps for 220v are 225. Doesn’t show consumables in the pictures but it comes with a few.1- 1/8 collet body2- 1/16 collets2- 3/32 collets2- #4 cups2- #5 cups1- regular sized back cap1- stubby back capDoes NOT come with tungsten. The only big issue I have with this welder is the internal gas leak. Assuming during assembly, the line going into the solenoid was cut a little to short and the quick connect air fitting going into the solenoid was faulty. Easy fixes and you get what you pay for but all in all it’s a good little welder.

Great Quality, Ease Of Use, And Fantastic Price!
The media could not be loaded. I don't think you can beat this deal for the hobbyist/home welder. Everything was packaged well with no assembly issues or damage in shipping. All connections were clean and fit perfectly. The first TIG weld I did out of the box was after about 30 minutes with setup (1/8" steel, 90A, 110V, 15CFH, 3/32 2% thoriated (red) tungsten, no filler). I wanted to give it a quick operational test. I was a little apprehensive about the HF start as I am used to more advanced Miller welders with variable foot pedal control. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and controllable the start was with this.Operationally, the only complaint I have is the amperage control could be a little more responsive. It works perfectly fine but reaction time is slow so I find I over-shoot the desired setting by moving the knob too quickly. Materially, I can see needing to upgrade the gas hose and ground clamp at some point, but they are perfectly serviceable out of the box and of adequate length. The only way I see this being a better deal is if it came with a regulator and an assortment of tungsten to make it a RTW kit.Time will tell but for my intended use case, occasional repairs and light fabrication, I think this was an excellent choice. I recommend.

Tengo duda
No he usado la soldadora, al encender todo parece estar bien, pero a los pocos segundos se apaga el ventilador, quisiera saber si es normal?

Works great!
Just bought this to teach myself tig welding. I strongly suggest high frequency, lift tig isn't the best. Burns 7018 rods like its going out of style too! Excellent machine for the price.

Awesome machine
Really cool little TIG for the price. I bought it to replace my Everlast machine which has been defective since purchasing. This unit works great though. Only done a few welds so far but worked perfectly so far.
