This basil essential oil is perfect to add to italian dishes. Just a drop is all you need, and the fragrance and taste come out in full bloom. I've probably spent a small fortune on basil plants and fresh leaves and now, I have the best of both worlds: great flavor and shelf stable.

I used this after suffering intense pain in my neck arm, shoulder shoulder blade for over a week. I was at the point of tears. I had taken pills, used patches, rubs, massages heating pads rice socks. Once applied I felt immediate relief. Basil is an anti inflammatory and I had been dealing with inflammation. I am 95% better and know I will be 100% with continued use. I mixed the basil with a carrier oil and took it internally as well as applied to the aggravated area. Thank the lord for this because I didn't know what to do and the pain was getting the better of me. Extremely hard to drive, sleep and function on the job. My fingers were going numb, nerves in my arm contracting spasms on the right side of my body. Nothing was helping until Iistened to my higher self asked the right question and did the right thing

This is awesome along with tea tree oil and peppermint oil. I got a bite from a bug and it was in a crease on the side of my inner knee where you sit or do any type of workouts pretty much it was rubbing it. I just put a drop of this with tea tree oil and the mosquito? bite that was huge and red puffed around the bump started going down. I used it several times during the day time, and its almost all gone. I got basil just in time I believe! I thought it was going to be a infection and I'd have to go to the doctor and try not to be on antibiotics, been there, done that for a cold, so I avoid that at all costs, ladies on the um.. pill would know, I would think? Anyways I really didn't have the money for a doctors appointment since no insurance, even with insurance, I'm sure this was the cheaper and all natural route to go. So this and tea tree plus peppermint oil to make the itchy go away helped big time!!!!

So I had read reviews and saw that irregardless of brand, consistently people felt the scent was less-than-pleasant and somewhat reminiscent of licorice. While I’ll concur with the latter, I actually find the scent quite pleasantly amusing and surprising. I can’t put my finger on it and trust it’s efdectiveness for harmony and positivity will ensue. Not disappointed. That said, I am teuly a sunny-side-up person so I can easily frame anything as a positive when I’m the right spirit. Give it a whirl and have a little laugh with it. I did. It’s a funny scent and of course it is very subjective I’ll agree.

Smells like the flower bud basil plants get not really like basil. May be my fault. Holy basil might have been the better choice for my needs

I bought this basil oil with the intent of using it to help regrow the hair that I've lost in awful amounts these past two years (various reasons have contributed to this distressing outcome). I'm doing so much else to my hair and scalp at this point, I can't honestly say what is doing what--but my hair IS growing back (I am so grateful!!), and while it's not 100% back to the gorgeous mane it was in my twenties, I'm relatively contented with this progress. (Okay, not really, I want the thinner patches filled in yesterday!)In any event, this NOW basil oil seems potent on my scalp and it's refreshingly aromatic... It makes me want pizza! Funny thing, my mom said basil is used as an appetite suppressant.

I bought this NOW Basil Oil about a year ago because the pricing was best. I had already discovered that Basil relaxes muscle cramps. One night I woke with a charleyhorse in my leg and it wouldn't "pull out" nor "let go." Then I remembered to apply the Basil and it worked. You should probably use a carrier oil since Basil is strong and burns, but truthfully, I applied full strength.

Interesting. Who knew concentrated basil picked up nuances of licorice/fennel?I see some reviewers lamenting over the weird smell from the bottle, as it isn't quite like the basil in your spice rack. However, I assure you the aromatic culinary basil smell will come through when you put the oil in your diffuser. Many essential oils smell odd when concentrated and undiluted (agarwood, a prized perfume ingredient, supposedly smells like poop undiluted!) So fear not the licorice smell, this is 100% authentic unadulterated basil oil!
