The media could not be loaded. First of all this split AC unit is very quiet, and it cools down a room really fast. I love having a remote, it just makes it so easy to use. I insulated my shed and had this installed. It was simple for the HVAC guy to install, and he said it's great quality and that I got a great deal for it! He also said it shouldn't be adding much to my electric bill. This is also such a great way to cool down a separate room in the house for a great price!

Love this thing!! Installed easy, there are some things to know! But there are many videos on utube. Location important, having enough space in panel for another run of power. A platform or a homemade concrete pad needed. There are extra wires in box for other models thats kinda confusing.Which end of wires go out to unit is another thing insulated ends out to unit. Works awesome quiet ! Oh and heat just as good !!!

So I am giving this review a 5 star despite the exterior unit being a little late!! I give it 5 stars because of the end result - My first DIY split - youtubed the heck out of it for the installation - not too hard !!! the results were amazing - small , light, discreet and cold!!! plus the bonus ... super duper silent - the exterior unit is 4 feet from my front door, and I can't hear it!!! if you are a DIYer - I highly recommend it - That's my experience and I'm sticking to it!!! lol

This unit is supposed to be able to hold a set temperature. It does not. Contacting tech support revealed u cannot talk directly to a tech. You tell the problem to a receptionist who then passes the info on. Its like whisper down the lane but worse. The responses were never in anyway helpful resulting in multiple contacts with no help at all. Finally, I sidestepped the provided customer service number and contacted Costway through their websites contact info. They responded that the unit will maintain a temp of 78 in cooling and I think 72 in heating. If that is the only temps it will automatically maintain, then that's not helpful. Mine does not automatically maintain any temp in any mode. I called an ac repair tech and he says the circuit board isn't functioning. Now we begin the process of trying to replace that. I'll add to this when I find out if the unit will maintain any set temp, and how Costway does at dealing with the circuit board.Update 10/17: Costway has no service team that could assist my AC guy in trouble shooting the problem. They also have no parts to repair the unit. They suggested submitting a warranty claim. I'll update this post.Update: Costway refunded the money after making multiple videos showing the unit malfunctioning even when the temp was off by ten degrees. They kept making excuses when it wasn’t functioning within 5 degrees of temp. They did not require me to return the broken unit.

I’m so impressed with this unit! The cooling is powerful and fast, and the heating works just as well — perfect for Chicago’s unpredictable weather. It cools and heats our 700 sq. ft space effortlessly, and it’s incredibly quiet. The energy efficiency is a huge bonus too.

Installed this mini split in my insulated garage in Colorado. Product is mainly to be used to keep my dogs warm and my garage usable in the coldest/hottest months out of the year. Very much a DIY project if you're somewhat handy and know your way around electricity, takes a day/long afternoon, only time I needed to call someone was to vacuum the lines and check them for any leaks. In the instruction manual, it says the mini split will not operate below temps of 9 degrees Fahrenheit; not the case. I fired it up this morning at 2 degrees, windchill of -8, and it ran like a champ. No problems at all, and still kicking out decent enough heat to make the garage bearable. Bought mine on sale during prime days, and for the discounted price, I'd say more than worth the investment. The app doesn't work very well at all, and I don't use it, hence 4/5 stars, but certainly not the end of the world. Time will if that statement remains true, but I'm kicking myself for not doing this project earlier, what a difference it makes!

This installed in under an hour. All parts were clearly identified and included. It was as easy as locating a suitable area, verifying accessibility, and running a couple of lines. It's going to be so much more cost effective than the outdated window unit we have been using, and definitely a big savings over a central system.

Overall I am very satisfied with this air conditioning unit considering its functions and relatively low price.For the installation, it looks kind of complicated initially. However, there are detailed manual and plenty of instructions online that you can use. It took me a couple of hours to install it correctly. If you have some professional technician to help, it should be faster for installation.Wrt its functions, it has warmed very well since I installed it. The whole living room and the kitchen is kept at a suitable temperature. It also work with a very acceptable sound. It is not noisy at all. The cooling unit also works well. The price is also very acceptable when compared to other air conditioner over $1000. Highly recommend it, my friend!
