Good purchase for the price
I bought this to pump air from my basement level to the third floor to save on cooling costs. Probably not what most people use it for. It's very loud but that is to be expected as it pushes a lot of air.

Get the right product if using to paint or around flammable vapor
Perfect for a spray booth and it’s explosion proof which is a must for using around flammable vapor. Well packaged and as stated in ad. Two settings for air volume is a plus.

Dual purpose, blows lots of air and a deafening Noise machine.
It is like they specifically designed something that will make the loudest fan noise possible that plugs into a 120v outlet. Moving lots of air was a lucky happenstance. If you are hard of hearing this thing is fantastic.I would still buy it again because the price, it seems solid, and I cannot hear my wife yelling at me.

They stand behind their word!
Well let me tell you, they stand behind their word. I bought this product a year ago just about for a project and unfortunately didn’t need it till recently. Not to bore the reader, but I used it less than 12 hrs and the motor fried on me. Trashed. I was really upset and it put a delay on my project. I reached out to them directly, and explained my situation. I was refunded the total amount and will be buying another one. They stand behind their claims.

Loud, Heavy, Switch On Handle, Really Only One Speed
I was hoping that it would have a lower speed and lower sound, but instead of 50% or even 75%, the lower speed is 90% or more. It's loud regardless, but that was to be expected considering what it is meant to do. If it was built with sound absorbent materials on the inside and fan blades designed to minimize sounds, it would definitely be superb. It's a bit heavy, which is fine because that's necessary so it's stabilized while operating, but that makes it a little difficult when storing. The toggle switch is on the inside grip of the handle which makes it difficult to accidentally turn on or off, BUT there isn't enough room for an adult man's hand to really grip the handle without the switch being in the way. This makes it harder to lift because you can't stick your full hand through the handle. Maybe that's not a problem for some, but I guess my hands are big? (They're not, just average.)The instructions were not clear on how to attach the exhaust duct, but wedging it within the nuts on the inside of the metal casing worked. There is a little leakage because of the attachment being less than perfect, so that needs improvement, but I'm guessing that it doesn't affect the overall performance much. The exhaust duct is quality and the rings are more rigid than I expected. That's good and bad. It's very durable, but if you're trying to port the exhaust through a slightly ajar door or window, it's not as easily deformed as you would ideally hope.To summarize, knowing if you have it high or low mode takes practice on recognizing the subtle changes in loudness. It's that subtle. Basically, very hard to tell that it's any different. The noise level is about the same, the airflow is about the same, so I imagine the electricity consumption is about the same as well. If it's close to 500 watts for full speed, it's probably 475 watts for the lower speed. The casing is solid, the rubberized feet are great, the fan grills seem adequate or better, but it's loud, really only one speed, and a little bulky as expected.

Seller issued refund(Burnt out after using a few times)
(Update.... after posting this review they reached out the next day and issued a full refund no questions asked. I believe this fan is good and will try another.)I have only used this fan a hand full of times and the motor now smells burnt and it has quit working. The gfi tripped and will not reset on plug end. Was very happy with this fan untill this.
