Flash Memory Type | SanDisk's product title and bullet points suggest that this is a USB Type-C flash drive, and the 'hardware_interface' attribute is set to 'usb_c'. Although it does not explicitly state the type of flash memory, SanDisk is known for using high-performance flash memory in their products. Considering the read speed of up to 400MB/s, it is highly likely that this product uses a high-speed variant of NAND flash memory, such as TLC (Triple-Level Cell) or even QLC (Quad-Level Cell) NAND. |

Works as audio disk for Honda right out of the box.
My 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid does not have a CD player. I tried the Lehwey Portable Car CD Player, but it only works with some CDs. Plugging in a flash drive works, but the Honda is very fussy about the format. I had files in .WAV and .MP3 format which are supported, .OGG and .M4P (Apple) are not. If you leave unsupported files on the flash drive, you will get an error message for each and every one (no way to skip this check). The flash drive must be partitioned with Master Boot Record (MBR) and the partition needs to be FAT32. The Ultra Luxe comes formatted correctly right from the factory (see picture). The Android software on the car will create a bunch of directories when you plug in the flash drive the first time. If there are too many audio files on the flash drive, it will take forever to connect (see picture of the error message). With 1200 files, it took about two minutes to connect to the flash drive. With 230 files, it took less than five seconds. Really? It is clear Google implemented a bubble sort, what a bunch of amateurs. So, 99% of the flash drive goes unused, but at least I can listen to my tunes again. The files should be organized by Band in the top level folder, the Album name at the 2nd-level folder under the band and the audio files at the third level. Compilation albums don't get combined (amateurs!), so I made a folder at the top level called "Compilations" and combined the artists there. I added the band name to the audio file name (see picture). The Music Library display uses different data than the display when playing (see picture). Now that I have discovered these secrets, I can cruise along listening to Underdog and Spiderman theme songs! You can see the Ultra Luxe at the bottom of the picture in the audio USB slot.

Too hot to hold
Everything is great of this apple product compatible U drive. Easy to archive documents and pictures and digital format books. Only downside is this drive tends to become too hot at hand when it works for a while (5 minutes) on data transfers. Hope the future design changes to different materials.

Works Great For Always On Camera In 2025 Mercedes Benz S-Class USB-C
I had lots of USB and SD card type memory sticks and cards but adding an adaptor to them to plug into my newest S-class Mercedes Benz was going to be silly. So I ordered this one. I used it for my 1212 miles door to door journey from my NY home to my FL home and it barely used up 1/3 of the space, for the full about 22-hours drive. The sliding close option is cool but I do not really take it out the car - except for getting the videos off it to make a hyperlapse video of the 1200+ miles journey in Final Cut Pro.

All metal, sleek, no caps to lose, fast
Not counting the loop, this is only 1.25 in, so no real drag on the port despite being mostly metal. There are no loose parts to lose, being an all integrated sleek design. Feels rugged. I'm no techy, but it is plenty fast for me.
