Works Great!!
I bought these because there are easier to set the my older ones. They get a great range for watering. I have 2 of them hooked up on a splice and work great. We have 1/2 acre that we water and these work awesome. I recommend these if you are looking for a great set up.

Perfect for my medium-sized yard
This sprinkler sprays up almost as much as out, so coverage in my yard is just right. A great alternative to one of those 'hose tractors' at a fraction of the price, even if it does require a bit of 'tending'. I added a drop of 3-in-1 Silicone oil to rotor bearing to smooth the spinner a bit.

Best I've found so far.
These things are a couple steps up in quality from anything I've found on here so far. Just ordered a couple more.

as good as most chapin - excellent
This impact sprinkler is a cut above most that you will find in the big box stores. Chapin has another one similar to this one but this one has the wheels. That makes it somewhat easier to move it. I was a bit concerned that the pressure from the hose might cause it to roll, but that has not been a problem. TBH, I expect high quality from Chapin as a rule. I am an avid gardener and have purchased a lot of different products over the years. In general I have fairly low expectations as I think most are highly susceptible to breakage. In the case of impact sprinklers the usual point of failure is the is in the spike that is stuck in the ground - generally it snaps. Since this has no spike, I don't expect failure there. The other potential point of underperformance for most is in the adjustability.Adjustability has three points:- the degrees of rotation. - I don't see any difference vs other with this product.- the screw that determines the density of the spray - this sees slightly better - it is a little longer- the "flap" that is used to adjust distance. I do think this one is a bit better than others - it seems wider and also longer so I think it is more effective in the way it influences distance.I am optimistic that I will get good and longer use out of this than I generally see.

Sturdy with Range to Cover the Whole Yard
This is a great sprinkler. I really like the wheeled design that makes it easy to move to different parts of the yard just by dragging the hose. The sprinkler has really great coverage and while we usually focus on smaller areas, at 360 it could cover the whole yard at once. The metal base seems to be incredibly solid and as if will stand up to many years of use. The sprinkler has all the standard adjustments you would expect from a rainbird style sprinkler to adjust the rotation, range and spread.Overall, I'm happy with the "Chapin 4982: Wheeled Impact Sprinkler, 360 Degree Automatic Impact Sprinkler with Wheeled Base for Medium to Large Gardens and Lawns, Up to 85 ft Coverage Area, Lawn Sprinkler".

Works better than expected, prop 65 warning!
This sprinkler felt loose and flimsy when I took it out of the box. It seemed like something one might buy at Grocery Outlet. I figured it might water a small circle for a season. However, I put it on top of a reversed bucket, and was pleasantly surprised at the area it covered, and covered more thoroughly than expected. It is actually a very good sprinkler! I am impressed. The sprinkler is small and light. It is made of metal, not plastic. I see no need for the wheels which appear to be decorative onlly.Looking at the box after I tested the sprinkler, I see this product has a prop 65 warning that it may cause cancer or reproductive harm. Really? There is no information about what it is about this little sprinkler that may cause cancer or reproductive harm or how. It is impossible to tell by looking. This information should be disclosed. Will use of this sprinkler put my garden, my pets, children, myself at risk? Is it something minor? Then why didn't they use something non-toxic? The company should prominently disclose what it is about their sprinkler that requires a warning so people can make a rational decision about whether they want this sprinkler in their home or yard. I would not have ordered this sprinkler knowing it has a prop 65 warning without more information about why it carries this warning. Does it have lead in it? I have asked in the questions section and look forward to getting an answer. Clearly, since I do no use poisons on my plants, I don't want a sprinkler that distributes them to my vegetable garden or puts kids or animals at risk if they play in it. Before I continue to use this, I need to know why it carries this warning.Update:I got no response to my question on Amazon about the prop. 65 warning. I called the company. The representative said it has been stored in a warehouse with lead items so that is why it carries the warning. It seems really unlikely that this would spark a prop. 65 warning. She said there was no lead in the product. I asked if it was made on machinery that also made lead items. she did not know. She said the components are made in China, and they don't know what is in them, so they put a prop. 65 warning. What? They make such a fuss in their ad about how this is an American company, American workers, etc. This seems deceptive.Brass may contain lead, the portion that screws to the hose is brass, that doesn't concern me. I am more worried about whether the body of the sprinkler and the arms contain lead which is leaching into my garden. I don't want to test the water coming out of a $12.99 sprinkler. The company has failed to give a satisfactory answer as to why they put a prop. 65 warning on this product. Either it does have lead components or it doesn't. They should find out and inform customers.

sturdy metal body and easy to roll around the backyard
Product review for Chapin 4982: Wheeled Impact Sprinkler, 360 Degree Automatic Impact Sprinkler with Wheeled Base for Medium to Large Gardens and Lawns, Up to 85 ft Coverage Area, Lawn SprinklerThis is a well build, sturdy metal body sprinkler that is cast in to a single piece. The three wheels make it easy to maneuver and it is a must with weight of this sprinkler. Connections are brass threaded and shows the quality. It got three adjustments for coverage, spread and distance, the city water pressure is good to provide a large 50 ft coverage for my lawn. It does rotate 360 degrees but also can do a preset angle of coverage. It is a good value for less than 17 bucks.
