Work great with pixel phones - no issues

Using these with my Google Pixel and they have been great. Work like apple air tags but with Google find my device. Maybe some of the negative reviews were prior to the firmware updates. I have nothing bad to say about them. Hopefully moto makes some other devices like a wallet card sized one.

Great Product, Sound is Fine, fits any air tag accessory

Love this thing, I was a little worried based on the reviews that the sound will be too quiet for me but it was just fine for looking for your item somewhere in an area (No it will not ring loud enough for you to find it in a square mile....). Like the title says it also fits air tag accessories with ease. The belkin key ring is what I have and it fit great. The only thing I have not tested yet is the battery, I will update if I have any troubles but so far so good and easy to replace.

I like it 👍

Works reasonabley well, I hung one on my Chihuahua because she wondered off a few times. Also keep one in each vehicle and one on my camera bag. The issue I had with them is that sometimes one or the other just can not be seen or found. That's when I have to force my phone to reconnect to it. Then it works.

Not Apple Airtag Equivalent

The setup for these is fairly easy but can be complicated by downloading the Mototag App and adding it that way before adding it to Find My Device first which shouldn't be an issue but it is unfortunately. The connectivity is mediocre at best and I have an UWB enabled phone and it still connects no better than a Bluetooth connection, which again is not great, so it's pretty much is a Bluetooth tag and not an UWB tag from my experience, which makes this thing not worth it alone. The tracking is no better than the connectivity and your items will be easily lost and will be unable to be found if you're not nearby so don't expect functionality of it being able to be tracked the same as an Apple Airtag. The battery life is horrendous even when unused/barely used. I have a tag that has never been buzzed or used to find my phone and was activated in late October of 2024 and the battery already says it needs to be replaced. I have another one I activated in December 2024 and it also reports back as the battery being bad. This one was also barely used and still drained the battery to nothing. It's not like it's tracking very well so there's no justification for that type of battery drain. In the end this is a disappointing start to a supposed UWB Android tracker like Apple's and it barely compares to it. The price vs functionality and poor features makes this tag way overpriced for what it is. Save your money and look at cheaper options first because you will not get UWB functionality out of this one and just get stuck with paying for batteries more often than Bluetooth only ones. Hopefully Google will release their own instead of relying on third party partners like Motorola.

I came from using an iPhone 16 Plus

Before using the tags I updated them to the latest firmware because I read from a lot of reviews that this is a must, and since released they've released at least 3 firmware updates, which tells me they're very active in making this product better. As for its use and accuracy, it's highly dependent on how many android users there are in the area , and coming from an iPhone user I think this device is just as good for my needs. As for the UWB, we should expect it to go live sometime in Q4 2025 or Q1 2026 from my online searches. As for the delay, my search suggests that it's related to testing and improvement because Google is trying to release this update in a reliable state.

Doesn't track "anything, anywhere"

Having used Airtags I was thinking these would work the same to track my kid's location. I put 2 on a backpack and a necklace. Upon leaving them at school, i was unable to find them via android's find my device at home. Having talked with motorola i decided to test the other 2 but pairing and leaving them right by my wife's android 14 phone (thinkphone) and go for a bike ride. A mile down the road and they would not pick up the location of either of the other 2. This is against the product description in that it would use any android phone to find the tags. I realize this product is new but if's not going to do the description at all then it doesn't work and is false information. I wanted this to work and maybe IF google updates their UWB it will but as it stands they are only good for locating your keys in your house if you leave them within your nearby vicinity. Total fail so far on my beta testing of Moto's device. I'll give them a few days if they don't magically work I need a refund/return of my money.UPDATE: I'm tracking them as a test as I returned them. They somehow someway are now working it seems. Will continue to update as they go back to Amazon. I did factory reset them all twice then attached them. Maybe I sent them back too soon. We'll see.UPDATE 2:So it did track all 4 of them from Tampa to a distribution center in Jacksonville. There it lost them I guess maybe they were reset. Better result and maybe they work but I'd still hold off until Android updates uwb and a discount appears on them before I'd give them another shot.
