Best for children around age eight
Colorful gameboard reminiscent of chutes and ladders. Informative cards that introduce several common plants. The cards work similarly to Sorry. The biggest difference from either of the two classic games is that no one wins until everyone wins. There are several cards that allow players to help each other reach Grandma's house with their load of berries and other goodies. Stories and extended information about the plants is optional, but are available to extend the fun. It is an excellent kitchen table game for long winter evenings.

Teamwork boardgame
The best board game we have! My favorite part is that it encourages teamwork instead of racing to the end against your family members. My youngest is a sore looser and this game eliminated the struggle. My next favorite is multiple engagement levels. All players are getting to a destination and coming home, the sun is setting, there are trouble they encounter on the way, they find aids and they are able to help each other. As a nice bonus on top of all that the players are learning herbalism.I'd give 7 stars if I could :)

Herbal library for your little fairies
I wasnt sure what to expect really but i like the way this is set up. Very story like. Coupled with useful information. My 8 year old likes the idea of having her own reference library

fun game, good for all ages 8+
I had been looking at this game for a long time, but I didn't know if it would be good for adults with varying levels of knowledge about plants. I thought it might help me learn about herbs, but I also wanted it to be fun for my adult daughters, who have a lot of this type of knowledge. I finally got a chance to play it, and it is great. I went home and ordered it pretty quickly. The game is somewhat cooperative--you each progress independently but the total goal can be reached together. As you hike up the trail, you have problems like a skinned knee or upset stomach, and you have to use your collected herbs to solve them. It sounds like it could be boring, but it's actually well done and pretty fun.My son-in-law had played it for years, since he was a child, but he still was very happy to play it again and show it to me, and the rest of us who had never played it also had fun with it. It's not a super challenging game, but we enjoy less intense games, too, and this one was very good.

Fun for families, but does not include all materials in description
I'll start by saying this is a very sweet game. I like how the directions encourage you to "just start playing" and learn as you play. You do need to print the coloring book and guide on your own, which is why I am giving it 4 stars. At the price point, I was expecting to have the coloring book and guide included. So that was kind of a letdown. Especially if you don't have access to a printer. For the game to truly be educational, you need the guide.

Fun for all ages
My son and I played. I got washed down the waterfall twice! Educational and very fun for ages 4 and up. The child matched the picture on the plant card to the picture on the ailment card so reading is not required but helps. While competitive in getting to the top of the mountain and back to grandma's first, the game encourages helping others through helper cards as well. Great value!

Amazing Game
This game is amazing. There is so much to say about it. I love how it teaches herbalism in a way that easy for kids, and adults, to make such easy connections. I was the only one in the family that knew anything about herb use, and now thanks to this game the kids are remember facts about stinging nettle, dandelion, and so many more. Want educational fun, get this game NOW! LearningHerbs is a great place to get all your herbal educational needs.

Chutes & Ladders meet Life meet Learning
As our family expands our herbal knowledge, I knew this game would intrigue the minds of a 5 & 7 year old, as well as my own! You race around the board to get to the hill, but you don’t leave anyone behind with the “helper cards”. Just like in real life we need to help and lift up others! The cards are easy for kids who cannot read. You pick a trouble/ailment and the littles knew exactly what it was by the picture. Then tried to match the plant to the ailment. If you don’t have the plant you keep the ailment until you find it on your journey just like real wild crafting. As the kid said “this matches!” I would say “yes! [plant] helps with the pain of [ailment] or helps relieve the itching of [ailment].” You don’t really have to know plants to get the gist of why it may help but is useful since there are no information cards like other people say there should be. No, that’s what getting out there and learning is for. You can also play this game many ways; Matching, no sun, forward and back, first to use all their plants, helping your “cousin” heal with a plant you may have “found” etc… there’s actually a lot of possibilities. Also, didn’t know there were books and a whole world of this wildcrafting “story” outside of the game. My 7 yr old now wants all the books and stuff because, fairies.it will be exciting to grow and forage new plants this year with new eyes who can help say this plant helps this ailment, and we can make the tincture, tea, salve, whatever together. It’s a great tool to help the kids get into wildcrafting and foraging good and bad.I recommend this as gifts and for the home.1-4 players. You could add more or play by yourself!
