An excellent Flieger B style quartz watch
This is an excellent, highly accurate Flieger B style quartz watch. It is one of the most accurate in my collection of about 63 quartz and mechanical watches. After setting the time using nist.time.gov and checking again 20 days later, it is still accurate to the exact second. Of course, most of my other quartz watches are accurate to <= + 0.2 s/d, as expected, but only a few still read the correct second after 20 days. (I also have this same watch in black, and it is similarly very accurate, reading 1 second fast after 20 days, i.e., about + 0.05 s/d.) The watch is very attractive. I like the Flieger B style numbering. The crown is a good size and easy to turn. The second hand lines up perfectly with the second marks. I can't comment on water resistance. It's hard to name any major negative features of the watch, taking into account its reasonable price, but I think that the date complication (using the technical term for a feature other than simple telling time) could be better. The number showing the date is very small and requires close inspection to read. Some people might not like the watch band, which is a canvas-like material with a thin leather lining. However, I find it quite wearable after bending it back and forth to make it more flexible. I find it more comfortable than many stiff resin or leather bands that tend to press against the medial and lateral sides of my wrists, which are small and have almost no subcutaneous tissue. Anyway, the lug spacing is standard 22 mm, and you can change the band to any type you want.I have 4 Orient watches altogether--the two mentioned above and Mako II and Bambino mechanical watches, which are both automatic and hand-winding. Based on this experience and reviews that I have read, I think that Orient is an excellent brand for good quality, reasonably priced watches. Of course, you can get Casio, Timex or various Chinese quartz watches for less, and I have many of them. However, Orient, Seiko or Citizen are more upscale choices for a quartz watch and are very good choices for mechanical watches as well, unless you want a very expensive Swiss luxury brand. Although I like to work on some inexpensive mechanical watches, such as Seiko 5's or Vostok's, to regulate the rate and correct any beat error, in the end I prefer almost any decent battery-powered or solar-rechargeable quartz watch. They are much more accurate than even the most expensive mechanical watches and don't have to be worn all the time, wound up, or put on a rotating watch-winder to keep them going.

Better than first thought.
I’ve looked at which watch companies have the better reviews and everyone had nothing but good compliments for Orient watches. So I decided to get one to see for myself.I needed a watch to wear when I’m working or outside messing around. I found this pilots watch I liked. After it came in I went to set the time by pulling out the crown it actually came almost all the way. I was able to push it back in and set the time and date. Can’t believe you can get a watch this cheap that is an automatic and hacking capabilities.I was a little skeptical at first but it has proven itself to be a great watch. It lost only a few seconds in the first week very accurate for a $79 watch. You can’t find a more accurate for this price anywhere.

You won’t regret this purchase
I’ve had this watch for about a week now and so far I have 0 complaints. It’s a good looking, mid sized, field/military inspired watch, with a nylon band. The face is simple and to the point, although it took me a second to get used to the minute numbers being prominent with smaller hour numbers right beneath them, but that was a fast adjustment. The nylon band is very stiff, but most things that are well made are not, at first, comfortable. It needs to be broken in and, I’m assuming, it will eventually take the shape of my wrist. I highly recommend purchasing this watch. It’s a well made, though looking, watch for men that still get dirty now and then.
