Great Camera at a great price
Introduction:Before buying this camera I scoured many websites and review sites trying to find one to meet my needs. There is an immense range of devices to choose from and a real mix of features. The one lead feature for me and the reason for buying was the 2-way audio, being able to talk to delivery personnel was a must as I have installed it right by my front door where I can chat direct to people. Whilst the audio works it is not the loudest so if you are in a noisy area this may not be the killer feature for you.Build:The camera is a full metal body and stand with enough rotating areas to allow you to install it how you want, if you need to flip the image (if mounting upside down) this can be done in the app post installation. The cable that comes from the camera has three 'arms'. One holds the reset button to factory reset the device, one holds the power connector and the final one has the ethernet connection. The wireless uses a standard screw in antenna which allow a degree of rotation similar to many routers. Due to the size of the ethernet cable connection and surrounding housing you will have to drill a roughly 2cm hole in order to pass the cable through a wall. Worth bearing in mind is many people are choosing an IP66 electrical housing as an alternative way of dealing with this. The connections all have waterproof covers and associated extras to aid keeping these dry.Installation:The installation and use of the camera is only available using iOS or Android apps and there is no Windows application so bear that in mind before you buy. The install offers both a wired and a wireless installation and I have used both successfully, when connecting you get audio prompts from the camera to give you feedback on any issues/successes. Quite simply this is a short process and pretty foolproof. I would suggest if doing this over WiFi you do this in a strong signal area before installation.Software:The app is very user friendly and does everything as you would expect, rotating the app on the phone will make the streaming image use the full screen and there is an on-screen mic icon for the 2-way audio to work. There is no need to add a firewall rule for allowing incoming connections as this is a cloud platform which means connections to your camera are done via a third party server which you also connect to from the app. There is a slot in inside the unit for an SD card to record videos onto and these are kept encrypted on the card so cannot be read if stolen or without the associated account. Recordings can be taken off the card via the app. Motion sensing is built in as well as the ability to set times when recording/motion sensing is active. In all a great little app which allows the addition of multiple cameras. Think about how sensitive you set the motion sensing as during my testing it would go off from car lights shining on the lounge wall or when the sun comes out from behind clouds. This is not an ONVIF camera so you do have to use the IPC360 app for all your needs so its worth having a read in the app store as this will be your go to tool for using the camera.Overall:Simple and effective solution for most users. Beginners without networking knowledge will find this an easy way of getting up and running. The app is a solid performer and the cloud system makes things that much easier. For the more advanced user you may want to setup your own recording servers, NAS devices and may want to use an alternative camera/software solution. Great at what it does!

Great budget security camera
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. We recently had a minor break in, so we decided to invest in some cheap ip cameras. My first impressions were great, the camera body is made out of metal and feels like very high quality.Setup was super easy, i mounted the the camera on the garage wall, drilled a hole and passed the cables through. I then connected the ethernet and power cables. The picture quality is quite good, you can make out faces up close. The camera also works great in the dark with enough detail to make out faces. The mobile app works as expected, they allow you to add multiple cameras and even set up motion detection.I decided not to use the included application, instead I linked my cameras to home assistant. You can link these cameras to any app that supports onvif cameras.

Great quality both in the daytime and at night.
The camera is very well made.. solid and sturdy. It is easy to adjust the various screws to get any angle you require.I quickly paired it with my Wi-Fi prior to putting it up on the wall using the enclosed template. The picture is clear and the external sound is good quality too. What impresses me most is the quality at night .. as you can see from the picture it was dark out but quality of picture was excellentI love the fact that I can check whilst I'm away from home tooI suspect I'll be buying another very soon.

Excellent Camera!
I bought one PC730 to set up and watch a Robin's nest in the garden. See photo below. Camera is over 100 feet from my house and the wi-fi is good enough for constant HD streaming. Motion detection is excellent - you just need to change the sensitivity to get rid of alarms from the bushes moving in the breeze. The audio is pretty good - you can hear everything going on out there, and you can switch off the two-way feature if you want. The night vision is excellent. So good I bought a second one! The mouse and the hedgehog are in another part of the garden. Put the second camera in a box to keep it from getting too much direct sun - the units are totally weatherproof and solidly built. Impressive quality, actually, for £36 all-in delivered. One of the cameras will become a general security/"gardencam" set under the eaves of the house once the wildlife has gone away. I think I will keep the other as a roving camera. You will literally be using the camera within 10 minutes of opening the box. Set-up is very easy, and the camera even tells you (woman's voice!) that it is ready! I was worried that once I had it set up,unplugging it to put it in the garden would be a problem - not at all. It automatically finds your router again after it has been switched off. There's a good 2m plus of power cable and you can buy 3m extensions on Amazon. I am using a garden extension for one camera. The IPC360 App that is used to run the cameras gets 9/10 from me. You just add your first, then second (it can take up to 20 cameras) camera and it comes upon a list of devices and you just choose which to view. (An option to view maybe two or four feeds side-by-side would be nice in future - hint?) There's a separate screen for the motion alerts, and again you just select the camera to view that has sent the alert. The motion detection system sends an alarm to your phone/tablet when something moves in the field of view - you can mute these if you like. You get a notification as well. As I said above, getting the detection sensitivity right takes a bit of practice. This morning there are leaves blowing around in the garden sending alarms. But at night, that mouse set the detector off easily at half sensitivity... The camera records 10 seconds of video for each, and seems to get 5 seconds before and 5 after, so you see the event develop. There are various deals for cloud storage, and/or you can fit an SD card up to 64gB which will loop record. You can screenshot at any time and record video at your leisure - these photos/clips are stored in your phone/tablet album.Only minor issue I would have is the instruction booklet is a bit thin (but perfectly adequate for set-up) and on-app help still does not clearly tell me how I can share the feed from the cameras with other people - the page is in the app but I am not exactly sure what to tell people to do. A better explanation somewhere of all the features of the App would help too - it seems to be packed with useful things that I am learning about by trial and error. Like the timeline across the bottom of the video feed -orange lines and green lines mark when motion was detected. You can scroll back and forth....Definitely worth buying if you are after a simple security camera (I am sure it will work brilliantly as a security camera!). So far as a wildlife camera, I think it is as good as some of the more expensive (and battery-operated) ones I have seen on Amazon and I am really pleased - so pleased I bought a second one and had it up and running two days after the first arrived.Fast delivery from Amazon as ever even in these crazy days of lockdown.Oh - and as of this morning, the Robin had 5 eggs in the nest.Edit - 21st May 2020.I have been using two PC730s now for a month and continue to be very impressed by the cameras for monitoring wildlife. I have followed the family of Robins from the egg stage to them leaving the nest – and thanks to the motion detection feature I have video of the five chicks actually leaving the nest for the first time.I have had no problems with either camera – the one watching the Robins’ nest has been switched on for a solid month, records events as it should and as far as I know has not dropped offline once in that period of time.Having read some of the negative reviews of these cameras (actually, most of the poor reviews are due to the App, not the hardware) I believe that 99% of the problems people are having is with not knowing how to use the many features in the App. For example - I was caught out when I started to use a Micro SD card with one of the cameras – you need to set the recording period for the camera detector AND the card. If you set one and not the other, you lose events. It isn’t explained in the App help.Setting the sensitivity takes patience – it depends on the sort of motion you want to detect. For people, it is probably straightforward. For wildlife, I have had a moth flying by activate the camera. At the other end of the scale I won’t set one off if I walk past it with the sensitivity set at zero.Moving the cameras is no problem at all – unplug them, move them, plug them in and within 2 minutes or less they are back online. Easy.My advice if you are having problems is keep playing around with the App until you understand what it can do. There are a lot of good features in it not adequately covered in the online help.In my opinion, the cameras are excellent for what I need and the App has the potential to be brilliant if there was a better user manual!
