Q: Does the smartlife APP show the current room temperature?

Yes it does. I control it both through the app, but also as an Alexa routine. So I use it to switch electric heaters on over night if the temperature drops or if I need a quick boost I can turn on remotely.

Q: I have just set this up and the thermostat so far is entirely inaccurate (21 plus degrees in a freezing cold room) . Anyone else have this issue?

I have three, all three are 4 degrees below the separate digital thermometers I have in the rooms. Can’t find a way to adjust them so I just bear this is mind when I set the temperature.

Hello, yes, it works with smartlife App for heating device, you can set a target temperature on your phone, pls note it should higher than the room temp so the heater could auto heating, and the heater will auto off when the room temp is up to the setting temp. You can also use the App to adjust the temp or set a time schedual from anywhere and anyplace through your phone.

Q: What is the temperature range this operates in. I want to use it as frost protection in an outhouse. I.e. target temp will be 3 degrees.

0 to about 45c. I think you should have no problem with 3c.
