I got this book for my daughter who is a new teacher. She loved it! I also read it when she was done (as a former teacher myself). The stories included are touching, fun, and very relatable! This book makes a great gift for any teacher who likes to read. It may also be a good read for parents to get an inside look at the life in the day of teachers! This book is so inspirational. I work in an inner-city school and most days I am mentally and physically drained and wondering what I am doing here. I use a few minutes of the end of my day just to read a story and it helps me feel rejuvenated again and reminds me why I began teaching. It is a good book to have around for those days that you need that little reminder. Also, I send one story per week to the whole staff in the school and people really appreciate it.

Although I haven't finished reading it, I must admit that I keep a box of tissues on my bed (my favorite place to read) whenever I read any of the stories. I like to refer to it as a "teacher's bedside book" because any teacher, of any subject, can definitely relate to any of these sweet and moving stories. I find myself crying and laughing at the same time. Furthermore, its pages contain great lessons for us teachers, whether we have already experienced them or not. These 101 stories are truly inspiring...Just love it!

I bought this because my mom's a teacher and her birthday is coming up (so is the upcoming school year), so I thought I'd buy her something teacher-related. Once I found this, I was so excited to present this to my mom. Now, her birthday isn't for a few weeks, but this product was in great condition (no bent pages or anything) and it looked fabulous. Plus, I read some of the stories in it and they're so inspirational! This would be the perfect gift for any budding or bloomed teacher!

This book makes a great gift for any student teacher or any teacher suffering from burn out. It has a way of soothing the soul and bring back hope to the hearts of educators. I highly recommend it as a gift to any new grad going into teaching

Good read for me as I am a teacher. I need this sometimes when I've had a bad day to remind me why I became a teacher. Very inspiring.

I bought this for my son and his girlfriend as they are new teachers. I was a teacher too for twenty five years. I think it is important to know that the very challenging job, especially in terms of behavioural issues and lack of resources but also in terms of political initiatives thrust upon the teaching profession makes this vocation sometimes seem like a thankless task. Chicken Soup for the Teacher's Soul provides the fillup required every now and then to remind ourselves why we entered the profession and that little things, said and done, change lives for the better.

The book was purchased, new, for a special teacher that had just suffered the loss of a dear one, the book looked like it hadn't been read, however it had dirty marks down the outside of the pages (side opposite the spine, when book is closed!) and there was damage to the base of the spine, looked like the book had been dropped! Don't feel very good about giving the book as a present, as the teacher might question whether the book is new or not. Disappointing!

This is the third time I bought this book. It makes out a great gift and does remind you why you want to work with children. There are some Christian references, but the stories are still very inspirational and does leave you with the desire to be more positive towards the one child in your class who push your boundaries to extreme limits. Would definitely recommend this book.
