I bought two entry, three privacy, and one deadbolt to replace another " high quality " set. The other brand was nice looking but started wearing out after five years. The difference between these sets is substantial. The handles are solid, the action is smooth, the finish is thick. The core is beefed up with a heavy plastic insert which makes up for the rather cheap inner mechanism. The installation was easy and the re-keying was super simple. I got two spare keys made with Kwikset blanks available at any hardware store. I was worried about the distance between the lever and door but as you can see in the pictures, it is ample. If you want superior door hardware, look no further than Baldwin. I doubt you will find a better packaged, heavy duty, exceptional quality door hardware. And as a bonus, the price is very reasonable on Amazon.

I love my new door handles. Got them for a pantry Door and side door. Because them doors are close together, I wanted the uniformed look. I got a lot of compliments on them. And I need to mention that the price was the best. I had shopped around believe me lol.

I both two Baldwin locks one Single Cylinder Deadbolt Featuring SmartKey and second Keyed Entry Lever Featuring SmartKey. This last one had a manufacturer defect, they forgot to pre-install one of the screws to tighten the exterior lever. You can see from the provided photos.So I returned for exchange hope a new one will be in normal condition.To be honest the deadbolt lock works and looks perfect. Let see how long it will stay.I will update my review after receiving a replacement. 3/15/19How I promised now I'm updating my review. I was not quick-witted how that pre-installed screws are works. In order to tighten the handles, the screws must be unscrewed in different directions which is not quite clearly described in the manual.Now I'm going to score five stars because of both locks looks and works well. Hope this review will help the manufacturer to describe this part of the installation more intelligible. 03/18/19

This lockset looks classy and feels great with no sharp or rough edges. There isn't excess play or noise when the handle is turned and the lever is much easier to use and convenient when your hands are full of groceries.I installed this on the garage entry door specifically because of the convenience of use when our hands are full (of groceries). I will get another for the front door and replace the rest of the door knobs in the house with this style. I currently have Baldwin Prestige Alcott knob series on the front door but will move it to the basement entry. It is 5 years old and still looks and feels brand new.SLIGHT CON: this uses Smart Key lockset which I wouldn't feel comfortable using without my Medeco deadbolt and door armor kit. Smart Key may be a pro for you though.

This is my second Baldwin keyed entry lock and they first one lasted nearly 30 years. You can feel the solid build of these locks compared to other brands, more heft and smooth and firm functioning. Looks great installed too, and rekeying it with the SmartKey took less than a minute from start to finish. Really, no joke! I would have given it 5 stars except the set screw to attach the exterior handle is inserted backwards and must be removed by backing it out through a hole on the other side of where it screws in using the included allen wrench. The screw also keeps the interior locking knob from turning until you remove that screw, none of which is mentioned in the instructions. Also the handles were not threaded to receive the set screw. Even with that it is still a heavy duty nice looking lock set.
