I would buy this again
I really like this straight pen holder. I’m new to calligraphy but I bought this hoping it had a universal insert and it does!I took pictures of the universal insert because I didn’t see anyone else show it nor was it mentioned in the item description which is weird. If the prongs come facing up, instead of like mine in the picture, then just use the shank of your nib to push them down.I also took a picture of it next to a Pilot G2 pen for size comparison.I think it’s pretty comfortable. I practiced with it for 3 hours yesterday and my fingers feel fine and I wasn’t feeling any cramping while writing. It hold all of my nibs pretty well so far. The nibs I have are Nikko G, Zebra G, Brause EF66, and Brause Steno(Blue Pumpkin).I would 100% buy this one again. It feels sturdy and the price is great for it.

Back to basic nip pen holder
I always favour the basic and original gears. This is a wooden holder with cork at the top for easy grip,. The insert of nip is easy and firm. I don’t have a problem nip getting loose during writing. I use Nikko G nip. I enjoy the body of the pen in wood, very smooth and warm, comfortable grip with the slim pen design that I have small hands. The cost is also unbeatable at such a high quality.

Perfectly Fine - I'll repurchase
It's not the greatest. So four stars. But it holds every Hunt and Brause I own except for the Hunt 102 and 108. Weirdly, you can stick a 107 over one of the prongs and that works too. If nothing else, it's worth replacing any of your long speedball holders with this much better one.

Excellent quality nib holder.
By far the best nib holder on the market. The cork is easy to grasp, no slipping. Holds all standard size pen jobs, sketching to calligraphy. I use the Noodler's ink - tons of colors and 3oz bottles not the 1/2oz ones. You'll want several of these nib holders for when you need different nibs on the same project; I have 5 or 6. Very highly recommended!

Good pen
While I like this pen (size, wt, length), I'm not huge fan of the cork grip. I like it, but I don't think it's the best material for the grip...when it gets wet (for instance) it has a cold rather uncomfortable feeling to it. I like it much better than one with nothing on the grip, but I prefer one with a rubberized grip like the Tachigawa.

Feels and looks great, but what nibs go with it?
I got this nib holder to replace the cheap-o one I got at some knock-off art supply store here in TW. While it feels good in the fingers, none of my nibs seem to fit. The nib holder part at the tip is a tiny metal cup with a ring of metal, tines (?) I will call them. Maybe I am using it wrong, but my nibs do not seem to fit in or around those tines. In the same order I had some other nibs as part of a set. They too do not fit. Is there a certain nib this was made for?

long, lightweight nib holder, better than plasticy ones
I much prefer using a wooden pen over the cheap plastic ones that I began with. The ferrule is metal and holds the nibs very securely, over it's lightweight and the cork grip is nice, it has a good diameter (around 1/2 an inch) and is also now the longest nib holder that I have at around 6-1/2 inches. It's best with hunt 99 or similar sized nibs, and will work with a G pen nib.

Perfect for my vintage nibs
This fit perfectly with all my Speedball and other vintage nibs (mostly from the 1930s/40s). Lovely lightweight handle with soft (but not fragile) cork grip, really similar to my vintage handle that started falling apart. Prongs hold the nibs very securely.
