I wanted a keepsake box for my daughter and this was perfect.

This little decorative gem is gorgeous! The first characteristic of note relates to the items obvious darker tint than the picture reveals. I found this surprise to be a positive improvement to the item. This is an obvious personal preference though and may annoy others who are expecting the tint of what is depicted in the picture. The durability, substance, and stability of the wood is proportionally appropriate to its function, as its a decorative box that sits on a flat surface. Personally I’m confused why other reviews take issue with the wood not containing their desired strength, as again, it sits on a flat surface for decoration. This does make me wonder though, why are those people buying this item and WTH are they planning to do with it🤔?

This will be a gift for our Grandson when he makes his First Holy Communion.

It's lightweight...not hardwood...but it really is a beautiful box! My wife loves it!😄

Luckily, when ordering this box, I ordered a second one which turned out to be the choice rather than this one. My biggest disappointment was the presence of two different colored greens used in the design of the celtic knot....they clashed. One was in the olive green realm and the other in the kelly green realm, resulting in a poor finish.

I like everything about it .It was a gift .
