ZELUS 8 ft /9.5 ft Folding Gymnastics Balance Beam, Floor Balance Beam with Carry Handles Anti-Slip Base for Kids, Beginners and Professional Gymnasts

We purchased this floor beam to help give our daughter confidence doing the level 3 handstand dismount and to work on her back walkover. It worked very well for those skills. The beam is cushioned and has a good feel, and is quite low to the ground. It does not have any cross bars to keep it from moving, but it never really fell to the side or moved very much. I would definitely recommend this for working on non-flight skills only. We only had this on a hardwood floor, so I can't say if it would or would not work well on carpeted floors.

My parents bought this for my youngest as a birthday present at my suggestion. I'm so glad they did. Most practice beams are soft, with the focus being on safety. But that doesn't help a young gymnast learn proper balance when doing the moves. This beam does not give under either of my girls. It folds up easily, doesn't slide at all on our hardwood floors, and can be carried by my 4 yr old just fine.

My 3 yrs son is taking gymnastic class. The instructor said he need to improve his balance and coordination.We have tried different activities on it. It works very well. He can walk on it, stand on it and throw a basketball or knee down on it to train the core muscles. He really enjoy this balance beam.The product is neither too soft nor too hard with good quality material.

We have 2 different floor balance beams. One has a looser gym-mat style cover, but this one has a tight faux-suede style cover that allows for much more precise footwork. The suede-like material is harder to keep clean, but in every other category this is the better and higher quality beam. The anti-slip bottom grips better, the core material is sturdier, the closing hing is an actual hinge and not just the same gym-mat material that covers the other mat, and the carrying handles are also better. Definitely worth paying a little bit more for this one.

When researching beams I found two styles. One that was made of foam and a few that were made with wood. I wanted the wood version to feel like a full size beam for my tween. This beam is exactly that. It's got a wood core with light padding. My kids love it and have no complaints. It's easy enough set up and take own that the kids can do it and it hides in a corner. Definitely would recommend.I don't feel like it would support my 250+ lbs body but that's ok as it wasn't for me.

Arrived very quickly, well packaged. Sturdy and doesn't damage floors. Perfect for extra practice/play while we are skipping gymnastics.

This is just ok. Not worth the money, small, and very uneven. If my daughter didn’t like it, it would have been returned. Look somewhere else, this product isn’t good.

My 10 year old daughter loves to practice her gymnastics on this floor beam at home. Inside the house or outside. It’s well made and sturdy for a beam that’s mobile. Not made for high advanced skills but good for basic skills and balance practice for sure!
