Is it possible to make this (and other Divoom smart units) automatically turn itself on/off at certain hours?

I don’t know if you can set it to turn off at a specific time but it does have an option to turn off automatically after so many hours of being on. I think the option is for 1, 2, 3 or 4 hours. Hope this helps.

I believe 4 but not completely sure

What happens if the company goes out of business? I'm afraid that if the app isn't supported the frame won't function.

As long as you have the app on your phone you can still connect to the device. If the app doesn't receive any further updates you will just have the functionality of what the app provides once development ceases.

Does it have to be connected to Bluetooth to work or can you program it to display an image and then disconnect Bluetooth and it will still work?

Hey there, you have to bluetooth connect to control the screen display. It use the free " divoom" app to do all the customization. And once you disconnect bluetooth, the pixoo will display the last image that you choosed at the last time.
