I'm working on a healthy eating strategy and these plates are a tool toward that end. These are for anyone who wants a subtle reminder for healthy portions! They are designed to remind you to load 25% protein, 25% starch/carb, and 50% produce using the subtle vine and swirl design as your guideline for percentages and serving size. While nutritionists will often advise eating from a 9" plate and these are technically 10", in fact the raised outer rim brings the plate to 10" and the "loadable" portion of the plate meets the 9" recommendation without looking like you're using some special plate. All the other portioning plates I could find are very obvious and I wouldn't want to use them regularly. This one just looks like any other plate except it has the secret reminder patterns.

These plates are good quality. They arrived on time. They make it easier to portion control and balance your nutrition.

nice plates. good quality. Unless one was familiar with a portion control plate, you would never know thats what these are. I am considering purchasing more.

Pros: Pretty + elegant + good for portion control.Cons: SO PRICEY for just two plates.

I am totally thrilled with these plates. Love that they are china type, not plastic. They look so pretty, and make meals appealing as they have a very nice design. Only those folks that know about portion control plates would suspect these plates to fit into that category, because they accomplish that goal with such grace. Good quality and dishwasher safe. Love to use these.

My husband is a new diabetic. These plates really make it easy to control portions and eat the correct foods.

I absolutely love these and will.probably purchase another set. They are really wonderful. Originally I balked at the price but they are quite attractive without being glaringly 'diet'. Pretty enough for company - no one would know exactly what they are.

I got a plate previously at a wellness seminar. The plate was a dinner plate and and a heavier weight. The plates I received was a different quality and a smaller size. So therefore the order was not what I expected. It looked the same on line but very different when I saw it in person
