This item fits perfectly on my 2014 F350. I was nervous about item as you see a lot of people complaining about the aftermarket caps. A lot of people say that their molding is warped and doesn't look right on the truck. This brand seemed to have the most positive reviews so I bought this one. I am glad I did as it looks nice and fits great.There are no instructions but you can figure it out just like what other people have stated. I waited YEARS to replace my broken cap because I thought it was going to be a lot of money. Well, $30 later my truck looks so much better. Do not hesitate to buy this product.

I tried a 3 part kit that was garbage. This tailgate cap was noticeably improvedand also less expensive. It went right on and I am confident it will last. The construction is well thought out and durably made. Very happy with this replacement.

Quality seems good and it fit like factory. Not sure how long it will hold up, but this also goes for the original factory design. Love my Ford’s but they could’ve developed the step originally so the plastic edges aren’t in the line of someone’s foot. If it lasts a year, that’s all I could ask. Will just buy another.

My 2011 f250 has the “grandpa step” and i pulled it one day and snapped the cover off. It looked terrible so i replaced it with this. It went on pretty easily and lines up descent with the other plastics i would buy this again

After 6 years of owning my 2013 F350 I managed to punch a hole in the top of the center tail gate step cover. My heart sunk as I looked at the punctured damage wondering how many hundreds of dollars this was going to cost.Well, Amazon to the rescue once again. A quick search turned up the perfect replacement part and it matches the Original Equipment piece perfect. And for under $50 delivered.Downside is that it comes without directions to remove the old piece and install this new replacement part. I did a YouTube search and came up empty handed as to a how to video. But, if you unpack all of the new pieces and have them laid out in the bed of your truck it is not difficult to figure out the needed process.There is a coiled spring located at each end of the cover holding tension on the cover. Using a pair of needle nose pliers unhood each spring from the step cover. There are two metal rods that are approx. 12+" long that has a 90 degree bend at one end. The short piece of the rod is held in place by being slipped into a plastic pinch in the step. Pry up this piece of the rod and pull them out at both ends of the cover.There is one other spring holding tension and the cover in place. It is accessed dead center of the frame that the cover attaches to. Push in on the lever to release the catch and remove the old OEM cover.Simply reverse this process to install this new piece. Only tools needed to complete this installation is a pair of needle nose pliers and a small screw driver to help align the two rods through the holes in the new cover.So, if you damaged this piece on your truck just order this, install it and go back to being a happy camper once again.

really capped off the tailgate (hehehe). this nicely replaced the cap that was accidently ripped off by the fifth wheel hitch. kit worked wonders.

Not as sturdy feeling as the OEM piece, however it did fit perfectly and works as it should. One of the tabs to hold the spring also snapped off while connecting the spring, not sure how long it will last but it was considerably cheaper.
