This motion light has worked out very well. It is battery operated and motion activated. It's very convenient for stepping out into the dark garage without turning on the overhead light or opening the garage door until ready to leave. Our first one has lasted nearly 10 years and we were very happy to recently find a replacement on Amazon!

I bought this to place in my bathroom for a little extra light. There are two other lights and neither is positioned near the mirror. However, I discovered that in motion detection mode, it is perfect for middle of the night bathroom trips as it comes on the second I open the bathroom door, it isn't blinding bright, and doesn't disturb my room mate. Because it is so easy to hang, and lightweight, I find if I need emergency lighting when the power goes out, I can easily move it to whatever room I am in. It's even better than I thought!

Like others have said, motion sensor doesn't work out of the box though the manual switch and light work just fine. But I need the motion sensor to work. Not worth having to return it during covid. I'll find a use with manual but think other should know about the potential for failed productUpdate: I changed the batteries and not sure if or why that would have made a difference (the light worked on manual) but now the sensor is working just fine. Seems like an OK light for my shed and glad I won't have to fumble around looking for the manual switch.

Exactly what I was looking for! I need a light for the under stairs storage area where my cats’ litter box is. But it does not have electrical sockets. I also wanted a motion detecting light to save on batteries. Perfect product for my needs. Takes 4 x AA batteries. I used Duracell so I hope they last a few months at least!

I bought 2 of these to put on the sides of my bathroom mirror for more even lighting (I already had lighting above the mirror). I guess I will just have to pay for hard-wired brighter bathroom sconces. These weren't bright enough for the bathroom so I put them in a dark part of my carport to use if I am looking for a tool at night. They provide enough light for such uses.

[See update below.]Got this to replace a smaller USB-recharged LED light strip that failed after several years of use. Totally solid product and motion sensor is great. I used four corners of poster putty to mount it rather than the included screws—so far, so good.As others have mentioned, it’s not quite as bright as I would have guessed. (Maybe 3x a standard nightlight.) But I’d rather have softer light than harsh light, so thumbs-up overall.UPDATE: The motion sensor on this light has failed within a year. It now stays on all the time, even in sensor mode, in a motionless closet. Warranty involves mailing it to Oklahoma at my expense, which might be almost as expensive as buying another light. A bummer—when it worked for the first several months, it was great!

My daughter lives in a dorm that was built over 100 years ago. The closet space is amazing but it’s a dark cavern. She used her phone to shine light every time she went in it. This year I found this light. I added 3m Velcro to the back so it could be easily taken down for a battery change. We placed it halfway down the wall in her very tall closet and it provides a perfect amount of light. The whole closet isn’t shining like you have an overhead light but there is plenty of light that she can see what she needs to get. Also it comes on with motion so every time the door opens it’s on and being helpful. I’m sure there are brighter solutions somewhere but for the price and need and for a temporary solution it’s perfect.

I have several of these in different closets and they work great. They put out a nice bright light and are perfect for my needs. I have them in utility type closets that get moderate use. The light will go out 30-45 seconds after detecting no motion. I've had them up for many months now and haven't had to change batteries yet.

I bought 2 and am disappointed in its performance. I wouldn't recommend this motion-sensing product.
