Victron Energy 1200VA 12-Volt 120V AC Pure Sine Wave Inverter

I was very impressed! I've had it for a couple years now, using it on the solar system for my garage, and it has worked flawlessly.

I bought the 12v 1200va model, can run up to an 8 amp load. Mounted in a hybrid vehicle.I used 2awg for power and ground to battery, keeping cables short and 4awg for chassis ground. Cable size and length is IMPORTANT.Pluses:1. True sine wave2. Unlike others, this puts out 120vac, not 110. Tested with a Fluke 87 V meter that can read pure sine wave.3. Unlike others, minimal sag in voltage as load increases.4. Runs cool.5. 0ptional Bluetooth, great for monitoring remotely.6. Remote trigger can be added to switch unit on via (1) 12 volt trigger or (2) with just a simple on off switch.Here’s an example (see pic) - ran two 1950s era vacuum tube amplifiers on a PA setup for a yard party on this on a less than ideal 14 gauge 100 foot extension cord and maintained 118 VAC with a 2.5 amp draw.

I am currently testing the system I bought as of right now this 1200 watt inverter is running a refrigerator and upright freezer and two rooms. It isn’t making it work hard at all. This is with a 400 solar array and 100 ah battery. Now with the battery I cannot run it over night just one room and the freezer I can though. So far yes this inverter is probably underrated or the other inverters out there are overrated. Above is my learning phase. This is a work horse. If I had two of them I could run likely my whole home that’s 120 volts.

None better, and I mean that. Low frequency means exceptional efficiency. Just 5-10 watts in idle.. I wish they made a 3,000 watt in this footprint, inverter only..

Like all the Victron I have got it is heavy duty built and performs above what they claim.I also like the Bluetooth they use for changing setting and viewing what the device is doing

I returned the Victron Phoenix 12/1200 Low Frequency Inverter.For anyone interested in SWL (Shortwave), AM, Ham / Amateur Radio, This inverter completely destroys everything from 0khz to 10mhz.1.8mhz & 3.7mhz are 20+ db of solid noise, not even the banding of noise you normally see, just a solid block on the waterfall.In hopes trying to reduce the emissions I tried: no AC wiring attatched, no loads, chassis grounded, DC wiring through wound through a toroid, alternate radio DC source, and dipole antenna 100ft away on the ground, even still there is incredible amounts of RFI / EMI. It might as well be an RF signal generator.I thought moving away from a high frequency switching inverter would be the ticket but that is not the case with this unit. So much RF it should be regulated by the FCC. Ridiculous.Another note is it wont even power a 700w microwave that is listed for 1000w draw. junk!
