Love them! Except- buy them when it's sunny.
Moonrays 99924 Color-Changing Glass Ball Fixture I love my Moonrays Color-Changing Glass Ball Fixtures! (Although I'm not completely enamored with Amazon). We saw similar color changing globes during a trip to the coast and decided to create the same romantic tranquil feeling back home. I read countless reviews of similar products, realized I wanted metal stakes and glass globes for their sturdiness, and seven colors instead of three for their variety- ergo, my Moonrays selection. The pictures on Amazon do not do them justice. They are much prettier in person. However, some things to keep in mind: the lights are great accent lighting, yet too dim for walkways; they do change to multiple colors, yet don't be surprised if they cycle red more frequently and longer than any other color; they look best if you have more than one; and most important, make sure they all work before sticking them in the ground. Specifically, they'll need at least one full day in the sun to fully charge. You may need to exchange some to get them all working. Winter is a difficult time to figure out if them not turning on, or not turning on long enough, is the product or simply limited sun exposure. In the winter, they may only stay lit a couple of hours in the evening, even if they are "working properly". But, now that we're into late March and have more daylight hours, I can wake in the early morning and still see some of them lit. I absolutely love them and only wish they'd stay lit longer in the winter. (We bought nine of them late last year- exchanged three).

These are almost exactly like the ones I bought at the local Green Acres ...
These are almost exactly like the ones I bought at the local Green Acres nursery. The only difference was the length of the stem. On the Green Acres one, the solar panel was higher up so the two part stem were different lengths. On this product, the solar panel was right in the middle. That means you have to make sure the surrounding foliage is shorter around these ones so they don't block the light. As for function, they change colors like they're suppose to. Actually like how they're not in sync so I can see different colors. The three I bought from the nursery are very closely sync so I only see two colors at a time. They turn on at the same time, as soon as it gets dark enough which is around 6PM this time of year. Also a pro is the price. The local nursery had them for $16 or $20 each (sorry I couldn't remember exactly) and I got the moonrays 3pk at $32.

A New Use For This Wonderful Product
I bought this Moonrays 99924 Color-Changing Glass Ball Fixture to display at my 2nd level apartment window facing the street. I decided to think outside the box because this item seems to be used just for the garden or lawn but I wanted it inside and at the west-facing window where it gets a lot of sunlight.Being winter here in Buffalo, NY right now, the sun seldom shines for long and that means the solar panels on this item has little to work with and the batteries barely get fully charged. I have the unit anchored securely on my window sill but I needed to find a way to recharge the batteries CONSISTENTLY... so what I did was open the unit via the 4- PH 1 screws and took out the 1 battery, soldered lead wires to the positive terminal and negative terminal of the battery holder and fed it through the hole at the bottom of the battery holder and continued feeding the 2 wires through the hollow tube that would go into the ground until they exited the spike end and the anchor which has an exit hole for the wires. The 2 wires would continue far enough to an external one-battery holder (from Radio Shack of whatever old gadget laying around) and solder the wires to the positive and negative terminals as I did to the battery holder in the unit. Then I re-assembled the unit and fixed it back on it's anchor on the window sill. Finally, I had an AA, AAA, Ni-Cd recharger (any Radio Shack has these) laying around that I can now use to recharge the battery which has a light that goes out to let you know the battery is fully charged. I then put the battery into the external battery holder and wait for dusk. The photoelectric sensor on the unit turns on the unit at night and shuts it off at dawn. The great part is that if there is good sunlight during the day, the re-chargeable battery will re-charge from the solar cell panels like it would as if it was inside the unit and I don't have to do anything but make sure the on/off switch is in the on position. If there is a cloudy day, all I have to do is take the battery out of the external holder and re-charge it in the recharger, then back into the external battery holder. The Moonrays 99924 Color-Changing Glass Ball Fixture lights up BEAUTIFULLY EVERY NIGHT!! The colors morph slowly in a tranquil and mesmerizing way! Thank you Moonrays and Amazon!

Nice lights but easily broken during assembly due to poor design and quality control
2 out of three were perfect. Minor assembly is required but you can easily break them during assembly. On one of mine the bulb socket twisted straight off during assembly making it useless. It appears it was never glued on and so it twisted and pulled the wires off the LEDI tried to use the app to get a replacement for the broken one but it requires that I disassemble everything and package all three back up and send it back to avoid being charged again for the replacements. It seemed like a lot of bother on my part to correct their mistake. There didn’t seem to be a way to explain myself to amazon except that maybe they will read this.Just return all or not. The other two are in my garden already and if I need more I’ll go to Home Depot or Lowe’s I guess.

Beautiful but have no longevity
These are beautiful I really quite like them, but having said that, I have purchased 4 sets of these in 4 years and only 3 of 12 lights still work. I'm very disappointed in them for that reason. Plus no warranty to back up product. I'd like to get more but I think I've learned my lesson, I have spent $120 on these lights and only have 3 left. Pretty expensive and they should last longer.

Don't buy. Ball not secure
Unfortunately the balls on these lights are NOT secure. One set of 3 is being returned because 2 were damaged (the ball wouldn't stay in place). I see why the price is so good. Don't know how long the 3 in my garden will hold up.

BEAUTIFUL LIGHT, FULL COLORS ❤️
This light is great, however, I almost returned it before having the idea to change the battery for an other AA RECHARGEABLE PANASONIC with a more large capacity of 2050mAh, and now the light is more intense and works great for hours from the sunset to the sunrise💥So the big problem is the battery, MOONRAYS announces an internal battery of 600mAh but when I opened it, there was a battery of 400mAh inside ( which is counterproductive for MOONRAYS ) ❗️There are now on the market batteries of up 2700mAh and even more capacity, the higher is the number, the longer will be the duration of use with the device❗️

Batteries doesn’t last long.
They are beautiful but the batteries does not charge. I tried changing the batteries that came with them, but it appears to be a loose connection or something.

Nice lights
I put these lights in my backyard. I love how they change colours. The pole holding the ball could be a bit sturdier as I have already broken one and unfortunately when it broke, the wires connecting the solar panel to the bulb also broke and so no longer works. But they were inexpensive.
