Shop Fox D4800 Roller Stand

I wanted an adjustable stand that I could use to help me control lengths of wood - either going into my saw or leaving the cutting. These stands seem to work very well, no problems so far. They are fairly light and easy to move about, positioning them is no problem. Adjusting them is very intuitive.I thought the assembly instructions were poor. So poor, in fact, that I mostly stopped using them. My first assembly of these simple stands was wrong. (so of course I'm going to blame the instructions - but you'll see). My mistake (so you dont make it, not that you would) - there are two hex-head bolts that one uses to bolt the roller to the stand mount. There are two socket-head bolts that hold the 'feet' of the stand in place. Simple - but it 'looks' like the socket-head bolts should be used to bolt the roller to the stand mount because it is a better look.If I need more stands, I would certainly consider these. They are very easy to use and the price point is good.

This stand is a great value and a big help when I am cutting long boards. Went together easily, is very stable and stores out of the way.

This is nice for supporting items for a drill press or mitre saw. It’s light duty though and you have to be careful when placing items on it. Things to note, 1) you don’t really need instructions if your mechanically inclined. 2) short hex head bolts attach the roller to the body. 3) Allen head bolts attach the feet to the body. NOTE feet have 2 different size holes! The larger hole goes to the floor. This is to hide the head of the bolt. 4) long hex head bolt + wing nut attach folding leg.

I like how you can adjust it to any height, not just preset heights.

Everything was fine with this product

These things are pretty cut and dry. Most brands are same basic principle. This one had 75% of threaded bolt holes cross threaded or some problem preventing bolts from complete tightening. To make matters worse, there's no indication of which size bolts go where,AND (no matter how I slice it) the hardware package was one bolt short. Waste of time and money.

This is the second one because the first one was damaged. Roller does not roll all the time, not that it really matters however the shopfox name tape sticker comes off and leaves a glue residue

Adjustment bolt broke 1st day of use from a bad weld, and it is really not that sturdy, has lots of movement and play. Still managed to use it to help cut 18ft 2x6, but overall the quality is poor.
