Car Radio Wire Harness Compatible with Kenwood CD DVD Navigation in-Dash - XT91016

It is what was ordered....however, there was a wiring harness in the Stereo I purchased, so it wasn't used. I now have a spare. But what I didn't have was a harness that plugged into my existing wiring. I purchased one online and soldered the two harnesses together. There was a diagram and the wires are marked, so it was really easy. All I needed was heat shrink, which I put on before I soldered. I slid the heat shrink up over the soldered connections after they cooled (don't do it too soon or the heat shrink will shrink up mid way). I was then able to plug my new harness directly into my van's wiring and the other end directly into the stereo. I purchased the soldering iron at Radio Shack for $10. I got the heat shrink there also. Make sure you get solder with flux core so it sticks easy. You can watch a video on Google that will show you how to solder wires together if you need to.

Ended up working for my needs but one issue I had was the front and rear outputs were reversed meaning I had to wire the rear speaker wire to the front speaker wire and the front wire to the rear to fade front to rear properly, however I won’t blame the product or seller as when I ordered it I did not see in the title it said dvd units I just saw kenwood and ordered it as once installing and I found out it had a unmarked sky blue wire than none of my single din kenwoods harnesses ever had that when I realized it might not be right. However that was the only issue power, acc, power ant, amp (+), illumination were all correct. So I guess I’d give it a 5 star as I got working music.

Good quality harness. Fit my stereo fine. I did have three extra wires but I’d assume those are for nav and other things my Kenwood doesn’t have. I used butt connectors to join this harness to my factory one. Stereo works just fine.Will update in a couple of months.

Product was just as advertised, worked perfectly easy to install with clean post factory cuts on all wires. Used this on my 1991 cb7 for a Kenwood excelon and blended into the factory wire harness very happy with the purchase and saved a lot on install as well as harnessing.

Works just as well as Kenwood o.e.m. for my KD-MP 142 car radio. Just follow the color code from your manual. The only difference is that this brand does NOT tag each wire like Kenwood did. BIG DEAL! I like the fact that the harness is well constructed and the extra length is also very much appreciated. Nuff said. Get it!

I bought this harness and it did not even come with a ground wire.... the diagram showed other wires it did not even come with also like the illuminate orange wire, I did not spend a lot granted but it is worthless and to send it back and go through all the hoops for such is a waste of time, I am very displeased with this product and the company how hard is it to send me a 6$ harness with ALL the wires even just the ESSENTIALS like a GROUND, I would recommend going through someone else for around the same price, I'm buying another one right now and WILL NOT be using this company for any services ever again.

A good solid Molex 16 head, what can I say. The plastic insulation at the tips of the wire has a tiny bit of plastic trimmed off at about the half inch mark from the end, making it easy to pull off and have clean wire for soldering or tapping into a friction device you might be using.
