Love this machine!
Works very well, easy to use. Feels durable. Was able to bind the curriculum I bought very quickly. Everything lined up perfect! Would definitely recommend. I used this with the GBC ProClick Spines.

Great binding tool
The media could not be loaded. I homeschool, so end up printing a fair amount of material for my kids. This is a million times better than 3 ring, comb, or spiral binding options. With 3 ring options, the binders get broken, the rings won't match up, and there aren't enough holes so the pages get ripped out. With comb and spiral binding, the pages are secure, but it is very difficult to add or remove pages. This system is the best of both worlds. Lots of holes so the pages don't rip and they turn easily, but the binding opens and closes easily to add or remove pages. When it's closed, it stays closed, too. I bought this about 2 years ago, but it was broken. I tried to live without it, but just decided it wasn't worth it with so many years left of homeschooling.Technical details:- it can hole punch up to 4 or 5 normal copy paper pages. I use a heavier weight paper, so never punch more than 3 pages at a time.- the binding can usually hold about 50 pages (again, I use thick paper).- it can punch through laminated paper easily

Many uses, well worth the investment
I use a dot grid bullet journal but if I wanted a printed planner, I would totally use this to make my own. It can be used like a disc planner because the pro click spirals make it easy to open and close like a binder without the bulk.I’m a homeschool mom so I use it a lot for that purpose. Binding our own books with this makes it easy for me to move pages around if needed with our school materials or booklets I print for myself. I also like it’s design so it doesn’t take up so much space and is easy to store.I have only had it for 2 months but it has already gotten a lot of use. It’s holding up well so far!

GBC Binding System is OK at best.
The GBC Binding System is user-friendly and easy to store when not in use, but it has some limitations. It can only handle four sheets at a time, and no matter how hard I try the holes often don’t align perfectly making binding a bit of a pain. Also, the slider can be a bit sticky and noisy when moving. I've been using it weekly for about six months on around 250-300 pages each time, and it has held up reasonably well. However, it does feel somewhat flimsy, which raises concerns about its long-term durability. Considering I paid $107 for it, I feel it might be a bit overpriced.

Couldn't be happier!
I absolutely love this thing! I do think it is overpriced but at the same time, it seems there is nothing else like this out there. Honestly, it's a glorified hole puncher but it works very well. Heavy duty and seems like it will last a long time. It punches accurately everytime, it's lightweight and easy to store. As a homeschool mom, I am very happy to have this in my home.

It is a hole puncher. Good for 8.5*11 paper
This is the hole puncher part of the binding system. This tool doesn't bind anything, but it cuts the holes so you can then insert the binding spines that you buy separately. This works really well as long as you don't load too many pages at once. I do wish the slot was bigger so you could fit longer pages, like construction paper or legal sized paper or bigger. But mostly I got it for use with 8.5*11 papers, and it is great for that!

I like the ProClick system but this device is only OK
I use this device to bind sheet music that I print off. The ProClick system is very good. It allows you to have all the advantages of a spiral system with the addition that it's easy to insert, change, and remove pages and to re-use the spine. Pages turn perfectly and lay flat perfectly and it's easy to use. They don't catch when turning pages and they don't fall out when you don't want them to. In fact it's a little better than the spiral system because the latter makes one side of the book necessarily higher than the other when it's opened. My feeling on this device itself are a little more mixed. It's actually heavier than it looks, but that doesn't necessarily equate to sturdiness. It actually has quite a bit of rickety-flimsy feel to it, despite its weight. Here are my complaints overall:1. It's massively overpriced for what it is. At this price it's more than much sturdier and better machines that use a different system. I guess what swingline needs is a reasonable competitor.2. When they say it can do 6 pages they really mean that's the most it can do. That's not many pages to punch at a time. I wouldn't even do 6. Stick with 4 if you want it to work well3. It easily gets little bits of paper stuck on the edges of the cutting dies, which catch on paper when you try and insert it. The result is that this cuts a bunch of semicircles into the edge of the paper, instead of putting holes you can use. I have had to re-print many things because this cutter mangled them.4. This device can cut letter sized paper and that's it. Forget binding music that is printed a little bit larger than that. Of course, the spines are only available in that size anyway, so it's just something to know going in.5. Several reviews here imply that this comes with the little plastic tool that opens and closes the spines. It doesn't. You can do this by hand, but it's less convenient. At this stratospheric price, they could include a 50 cent piece of plastic that makes it more useable.Other than these complaints, the device is OK. I'm not exactly unhappy that I bought it because there isn't really a good alternative and I'm enough a fan of the system that it's worth it to have, but just be aware of the shortcomings. In particular, be very very careful when using this on something you can't reprint. If often feels like your paper is fully inserted when it is not.
