That's when I found this WORKLION cutting mat, and it seemed like an easy, affordable solution.I love it! The self-healing feature is great, and I use the green side for measuring and cutting—it’s perfect for keeping my projects to spec. The blue side is fantastic for when I’m gluing, even though it's not necessarily designed for that. But it does protect my table from any glue mess, and if I'm quick enough, the glue washes right off. It’s durable, lightweight, and does exactly what I need it to do. This is an excellent cutting mat for leather work and crafts, here's why:First, the softness is perfect: So it allows your knife to cut into the mat slightly, preventing damage to your table or main work surface, but also preventing your knife from going completely through the mat and damaging or even cutting it in half. At the same time, the softness prevents unnecessary wear to your knife itself. Before this, believe it or not, I was actually using an old chair mat for a cutting mat, but my tools dulled very quick. This mat has made a huge difference in my work process.Also, it is a great thickness, with multiple layers. The topmost layer is quite soft, perfect for cutting on, while the inner layer is harder and provides a firmness to this mat. However, it is vital to use and store this mat flat; otherwise, it will develop a curve.By the way, to extend the life of these mats, I've read that it's best to keep them hydrated. So I put some water on mine monthly to keep the cutting surface and membrane soft and supple. I want this to last a long time.Third, the markings on the green side are super useful when laying out and cutting material. You can see the amount of wear and tear on the Green side - which I've used almost exclusively.This has been a great value for me. The only con - if you want to call it that - is that I wish it were a little bigger. Still, I would buy this again because the features and size work well for a small maker's space.

Great mat, excellent for making lots and lots of cuts on both sides. Still looks, feels and cuts great after over a year of heavy use. The ruler grid on both sides? Also awesome. Delighted with this purchase.

I was pleasantly surprised when this cutting mat arrived. Not only is it huge, but it is so sturdy and well made, I can hardly believe it. It is the best mat I have ever bought. I highly recommend it. It’s very thick as well.

Great product! Needed a larger mat for my hobby desk and this is exactly what I wanted! It’s well made and double sided. I was concerned it would be flimsy at this size but not at all. Would buy again!

I haven't used it yet, but it is large, heavy duty, marked well. It's just what I wanted. It arrived before the delivery date, too!

I use this as a desk pad. I find that my laptop dents and scratches my butcher block desk top so I use this as a desk pad. Also great when I make drawings because of the grid, or when I want to make small repairs to electronics or small mechanicals, or cut fabric for composites. This was the second one I have bought!
