How long is the edge? Does it actually fit the length of the face/beard in one "application" or does it have to be moved to complete a "cut"?

Hey there. All depends on size of head. For hairlines it fits most heads on one application. For beards we have seen an average of 1 to 2 placements of product. Also some use a eye liner pencil with it so they dont have to keep moving product.

Is this product good? I am only a 3.9 out of 5 stars? If not can you recommend one that is better?

It’s good for if you’re a beginner but don’t get the flemsy one. Also use the chalk pencil

What kind of blades do i buy for it after it wears out?

Hello. This is actually not a shaver or blade. It is a guide or template. You would have to lurchase a new product when it wears out. This product will last you many months to a year though. It is very strong.

Easy to use for good beard shape up

Good for beard shape up. Line it up how you want, use the pencil and then use a razor to clean it up. It helps the stencil is clear. Good purchase!

Not easy to use

Not easy to use, especially as far as getting the same line up on both sides. No instruction manual included. YouTube videos were not professional and were just made by random people using it, who really didn't explain how to line it up, get it even on both sides, etc. It does help you make sure your lines are straight, which is why I gave it 3 stars and not lower. You just have to be super careful how you line it up, and be consistent on both sides. You might want someone else to help you with it when you do it, which almost defeats the purpose (why not just got to the barber?). I found that my 5 blade regular razor worked better than a straight edge type razor, by the way. Using a straight edge razor without cutting yourself, burning/blemishing your skin or even damanging your skin is an art best left to barbers or those under the instruction of a barber. I do recommend this product if you know what you're doing. Just be VERY careful. The first time I tried it, I didn't get my lines the same on both sides, so I had to shave my hair really short to temporarily cover up the mistake so I can try next time when it's grown out again. I would recommend this product more if it came with instructions with pictures to show how to use it perfectly, and/or if the YouTube videos were more instructional. Definitely try it; just be careful.

The media could not be loaded. This little thing really came in handy. I’m a boy mom that relocated to an area where it’s hard to find a good barber. After going through 3 I decided to buy some clippers and cut my boys hair myself. This tool helped with making sure the boys had a straight lineup! It’s very easy to use.
