DPP Separtor
One cable to a HD PVR with the use of this separator, as one cable will provide all the transponders/channels to both tunners of the dual tuner PVR. Works as described and easy to install. If you are using a power inserter for Port #1, ensure that the sepator is connected closet to the PVR, then the power inserter with the cable to Port #1 on the DPP 44 switch. This separtor requires that you have either a DP LNB and a DPP switch, a DPP LNB or a DPP LNB and a DPP switch.Cobra

works, but not alone with a DPP LNB; you need a DPP switch
I spent a couple of hours trying to get this two work properly using a single coax from a DPP LNB direct to the separator and the outputs connected to my VIP222K reciever. It simply did not work properly for TV2 until i installed a DPP33 multiswitch between the LNB and the separator. it therefore does not work as stated in the description (on Amazon at least).

I didn't know if this item would be required for what my intentions were so I purchased this just to be safe. I havfen't had to use it yet but I'm glad I have it on hand incase the need arises.

Separator regained me a port on my DPP44 switch
I have 3 dual tuner Bell receivers. One had two cables from the DPP44 coming to it, the other two receivers had separators previously installed for the dual tuner receivers. All 4 ports of the DPP44 were used up. I wanted to add another receiver in the garage for a TV so I added a 3rd separator, freeing up a port on the DPP44 for the additional garage tuner.

Easy install
Does as advertised,allows me to run 1 rg6 cable from sat dish to this separator and it splits signal to 2 feeds for dual tuner receiver in order to get HIgh Definition programming.

Works well
Works well. Now I only need to run one cable to my PVR. The input cable hooks up to this Y splitter and gives me high DEF on both inputs.
