They rusted after a short time

They came out of the package looking exactly like the picture, but gummy or tacky. I thought it was just some dried out oil out something, so I ran it through the dishwasher. I was surprised and dismayed when they came out crusted in white. I scrubbed them with steel wool, producing the effect you see in my picture. They look like vintage steel, which matches the look of flowers in a mason jar, so I'm OK with it, but other people might not be.

This works exactly as I needed it to. I am growing Mangrove in jars before transplanting to a permanent medium and needed something to attach the bonsai wire to so that I can pull it lower in to promote more root growth and this works for that.However, I was expecting to be able to center the plants. The picture is obviously purposefully vague the way they overlap, but it's obvious a 3 by 3 grid with the option of putting the plant in the center. There is no square on center in what I received, so it has to be offset. If you need the plant to come through the very center this isn't what you want.At first I thought that maybe they sent a wrong version, but the packaging matches the picture so I can only assume they discontinued the centered version.

I got these for the intentions of using them for floral arrangements but actually ended up using them to hold incense up right as well as growing cuttings into plants, simply put the roots thought the holes and keep filled with enough water to cover the roots, without having to worry about the small plants falling into the water and the leaves getting soggy, it makes a nice little strainer top too, if you have something in a mason jar that you need to strain that is not too small in size it works quite well, as a party favor or gift they make a nice arrangement holder as well as being reuseable if used with a mason jar

If you are into the mason jar craze these are essential. You can easily transform a plain mason jar into a toothbrush holder with little effort. You simply take off the lid, us this with the ring part. Nothing could be easier. Most toothbrushes fit. It keeps the toothbrushes from touching each other. Also great for floral arrangements. These are very sturdy and appear to last a very long time. I was lost before I found these. Now I use them constantly, and it improves my jars for gift giving. Everyone has given me complements on the bathroom sets I have given out. I could not have made them without this.

Love these Mason Jar inserts! Make sure you order the wide mouth mason jars for flower arranging.I bought them for flowers I'm giving for presents. The best part of these are when the waterneeds replacing all you have to do is screw off the top, change the water and not have to rearrangethe flowers. When changing the water I always cut off the bottoms of the stems a little to remove thewilting part. These grids are also not visible when you make your arrangements close to the top.

This is wonderful if you want to do a casual Mason jar arrangement without the hassle of using a frog. For the price they're nice to have on hand if you don't want to spend a long time repositioning different weights and heights of flowers.

LOVE these. They are well-made and a perfect fit and they really help when I make cut flower arrangements. I use them in regular pint jars, and I find they work best with smaller flowers (when in the pint-sized jar...because of the size of the jar). I LOVE them for the zinnias in my garden, and of course they work with any flower whose stem will fit through the opening. It makes a huge difference in the look of the arrangements, and they're cheap enough that combined with a mason jar I can give a simple, home-grown arrangement as a gift now and then.
